Watch out for anyone who says "Vandals" ruined the D.C. Reflecting Pool, or that the 2020 Election
was stolen...or media outlets that have to pay $787M for knowingly lying about that 2020 election...etc., etc.
...and Who the Heck is 'Sasha Sergeivna'?? ;-)
-
Level 2
OK, You've earned your designation.
Under the advisement of several reputable people, you are hereby placed on Ignore.
Dismissed.
-
Level 3
Your call...but no one has yet proven I've lied about anything, nor proven me wrong on an issue...so
it's a mystery as to why you would choose to avoid exchanging views. For others, I repeat my encouragement to challenge me on any issue...that's what a Forum is meant to be.
-
Level 4
What?? I've proven you lied and were horribly wrong about HCQ+
You really live in an alternative universe.
-
Level 5
I read the actual studies that Risch chose to give his opinion on...the whole thing was a failure
when no one would pony up to conduct a true RCT...the FDA doesn't risk millions of lives on 'Hunches'...that's why Paxlovid got approved.
It's been six years since your miracle cure bit the dust, Sr. Quixote...time to bring your mule home.
Btw, if I had lied, we wouldn't be having this conversation...the FDA would have extended its EUA and given final approval...they were willing to give proponents of HCQ+ a chance...but they couldn't deliver. Not the first time someone got rejected...learn from the mistakes and do better next time...i.e. pass the word on to Dr. R., in case he hasn't heard it from his peers at Yale Med School and the American Journal of Epidemiology.
-
Level 6
You lied about Dr. Fareed when you said he didn't have zero deaths using HCQ+
It's late, but I also searched and easily found another falsehood I called you on a while back.
I didn't say you "lied" about HCQ+ because your "logic," if you can even call it that, is faulty and you're just wrong. You claim you read the studies Dr. Risch wrote about and implied he got it wrong. Yet, every time you previously linked to some study, I had to point out that it wasn't done correctly, and the one study you found flawed that he touted, in his paper he admitted it wasn't a good study (you would have known that had you read his paper).
Look. I realize logic isn't your strong suit and that's okay. You otherwise seem like a decent person (although sometimes I go back and forth on that) with a good heart, which is part of the reason I engage you.
-
Level 7
All we have are Dr. Fareed and Dr. Tyson's words on their study...it was not published in a peer-
reviewed journal...even the rigorously conducted, and reviewed RCT study for PAXLOVID showed it to be less than 100% effective...it's not logical that HCQ+ would be "Perfect"...no vaccine is.100% effective, and the same holds true for drug treatments
Thanks for the kind words...you know I've been there for you when troubles befell you...that hasn't changed.

***Since they may be paid for each response they get, I'd rec "Ignore" if you suspect a propagandist
BaronVonZemo 64378 postsIf a large enough number of people do it, they would move elsewhere.
A payment system for such a service might be as simple as the propagandist submitting pro-agenda posts with responses from regular posters showing them that the message has gotten out.
You'd think that those PACs throwing around money would want to know the effectiveness of the propagandists that they hire, but I doubt that they even follow it more than very loosely.
If they did, I think that the issue that you are wondering about here would have already been solved.-
-
Level 5
It would explain why someone would repeatedly protest being "ignored"....which has happened.
BaronVonZemo 64378 postsIt becomes really important to someone when it affects their pocketbook.
-
Level 6
LOL...Baron, you sure spend a lot of time commenting on my posts, while claiming to "Ignore" me...I
suspect that most, if not all, posters know you're not really "ignoring" what I have to say...you just don't want to have to defend yourself...especially after my proof of your own falsehoods with documented thread copies. That's plain cowardice on your part...and shameful behavior for anyone, much less a physician.
-
Level 6
Great perspective. Convincing.
Every response is money in their pocket. I just put a subscription hawker on Ignore as well.
Thanks for the advice.

Thanks for the input. Too many other good people have also advised me to pull the plug.

Level 3
My solution is don’t read his links. If he has points, just write down them in his posts. No links.
(no message)-
Level 4
Actually, this is good advice in general.
There are several posters that like to post a subject like "This is interesting" or "Great song for a Friday" and then the body of the post is nothing but a link. No context, no details. That's just a lazy, ineffective engagement strategy.
If the original poster can't be bothered to provide context why would I even consider wasting my time opening the link?
That's an easy pass for me.
"I didn't come here to take part. I came here to take over."-
Level 5
You E-Z-Passing on some posts is not a bad thing. Be true to yourself.
The subject line does not have enough characters to customize an "engagement strategy" to suit your personal interest.
Some feel a message explanation on a "Friday Song" would be overkill.
To each his own. It's all good.

LOL…but it’s Okay to read Hensou’s and BVZ’s links?…talk about Censorship and hiding from the Truth
(no message)-
Level 5
You’re not interested in finding the truth. You’re only interested in finishing your job. Your links
Are so disrespectful to other posters. You know that.
-
Level 6
LOL...I'm disrespectful? ;-)...have you seen the ad hominems thrown my way over the last 5+ years?
My all time favorite is Baron calling me a "Serpent Tongue" ;-)...you might want to broaden your search for posters who offend others.
I not only post from highly respected sources, like the New England Journal of Medicine, 'FactCheck', Politico, NYT, WaPo, etc....BUT, I also read other posters' links from FOX, or Right Wing videos...I don't ignore them, because they provide opportunities for substantive feedback that often refutes their claims...happens nearly all the time.
-
Level 7
ad hominems is beyond discussion. I’m not admin, not in a position to comment that.
(no message)-
Level 8
Although you tried, you can't avoid the fact that ad hominems are definitely 'Disrespectful', so you
should make a point of calling out all those who employ them...including virtually every Trump supporter on this Forum...Right?
-
Level 9
ad hominems are like fouls in football games. They’re judged and called by referees, not me.
ad hominems of course are disrespectful. I’m not avoiding saying that. They even can be hateful. But that’s not my point here. My point is your links are like the dark arts of football games, like groin grabbing, some chop blocks… legal but dark and dirty. These dark arts are judged and called by players like me. Referees won’t call them.

Put them on ignore and don’t feed into the crap they spew. It’s amazing how much cleaner the
Board is when you don’t have to see those posts. Honestly, the worst thing you can do to people like that is not give them your time. It a a lost cause. You’ll never change an opinion on anything, especially when it comes to politics.
I hold the record for most deleted posts. +150. Favorite posters must be protected!

-
Level 2
Really?...;-)...pretty hard to 'Propagandize' when you use lots of links to reputable sources that
have never been forced to pay $787M for knowingly lying...as well as providing full uncut videos and verifiable quotes...i.e. The Truth...while your sources support and parrot those outright lies.
Best way to see if someone on this Forum is being a Propagandist is to challenge and debate them on the Veracity of their posts...which you have never done...feel free to challenge me right now, on anything you wish...otherwise, you bring your own veracity into question, Coley.
-
Level 3
And yet you manage. You are overpaid, since no one trusts you, and your links are always off point.

He's a waste of time. "The Pope is leaning in on abortion", "The Upper East side is Conservative",
TakethetrainKnute 35867 posts..."Biden is getting sharper every day", "Kamala's integrity and intelligence are unparalleled", etc., etc, etc. His posts are invariably "don't believe your eyes" manure designed to push useful idiots further leftward.
"I am not a Marxist"...but hasn't met a DSA candidate he doesn't want to give a big hug. (Where reasonable Democrats recoil.)
Used to trace his links and see how dubious a great many were. No longer interested. As previously noted... "wrestling a pig in mud"
Any friend of Hassan Piker is a friend of Tyrone's. Tells you all you need to know.
His presence going on nearly six years was no accident, coming on the eve of the Biden Trojan Horse Presidency. Tyrone showed up professing to be here because he wanted to talk about energy. Maybe a dozen of his 25.6 thousand posts have been about that topic. The rest are devoted to hammering the farthest left agenda he can get away with. (Notice he's softening on pushing the trans issue. Expect an instruction from above for the midterms.)
Anyway, I (mostly) don't bother with him these days (it's what he's looking for). Aside from all that, he's also a smarmy hall monitor who threatened to dox an Open Forum member in the past.
It's all painfully obvious. Not worth my time, except to the extent that it has further diminished this board...which was once an intelligent, interesting and humorous place (with a few notable exceptions). I used to forgive the stupidity generally because everyone came here because of a love of ND. Tyrone is here because he loves an ideology. No need for that.
(Expect the response to be a posting of Biden's maniacal SOTU speech for the umpteenth time...or some such. Might also push him to lie again and call me MAGA...except I dislike Trump and have never voted for him. Criticizing Biden, Kamala, AOC etc. is not an endorsement of Trump from me. I just know why he is President.)

Level 5
Here's the answer to your second accusation...the OP in the linked thread assumed all residents of
the UES were Dems...not true...since the wealthy 10021 ZIP Code has a high Republican presence, so they are just as likely to voice "NIMBY" objections a local meetings as Dems. Nice try Knute, but it doesn't work.
...
Next up...Biden's Sharpness...his stamina failed him at the debate, but before then (see 2024 SOTU Speech)...he was head and shoulders above Trump in his delivery and ability to Ad Hoc respond cogently and effectively with the entire GOP Congressional contingent...PLUS...his record far surpasses what Trump is mired in right now....another loss for you.Kamala Harris...she has no Criminal Record...no Settlements for Fraud...no Sexual misconduct record...intelligence enough to pass the very difficult CA Bar Exam...and enough guile/toughness as AG, to wrangle the top Banks in America to agree to a 5X increase in billion dollar payments to CA homeowners than they originally agreed to...
DSA candidates...I support Mamdani's and others who focus on bedrock issues like Child Care, and Rent Stabilization for low income Americans...as do most Americans. There is no chance that a true Marxist gains control of the Democratic Party....Btw, Republicans used to call FDR a "Communist"...NEVER Happened...You're just as unthinking as they were.
Hassan Piker...never heard of him until now...you're just like Trump, Baron, Ned...you revel in Making Stuff Up...i.e. totally untrustworthy.
My purpose signing up for the OF;...#1) Dismay at the Mis/Disinformation being spread about COVID-19, especially by a physician (Baron)...and wanted to help get the truth out, with the help of extended family members who are physicians in the fields of Infectious Diseases, as well as Pulmonary/Critical Care (e.g. ICUs). Energy...especially, Nuclear Power is my 'specialty' by virtue of an ME and a decade working in Fast and Thermal Reactors. Not much debate on that topic.
As for you, again you refuse to stand and debate anyone who doesn't agree with you...basically, you're nothing more than a Quip making, Internet Graffiti Artist with no interest in getting to the truth of the issues you complain about.

Let's talk about each and every accusation you levy...going to be a busy weekend, but I'll answer
each one and give you the opportunity to counter....
It's easy to throw stones...let's see if you can justify them when challenged...I'll start with your first on Pope Francis and abortion...take the case of the 9 yr old Brazilian girl who was impregnated with twins by her Stepfather...the local Bishop excommunicated everyone involved with the (legal) abortion there...the populace was outraged over that decision...Francis could have backed the Bishop...but didn't...instead, he overruled him and subsequently empowered EVERY Catholic Priest to FORGIVE an abortion in the Confessional...thereby recognizing the vicissitudes of human life and having Mercy. He definitely did NOT say "Do Whatever You Want" when it comes to abortion, but he did leave room for "Prudential Judgement" in extreme cases.
Now, take into consideration the fact that at any point in time in the U.S. there are on the order of 6M women who, during their reproductive lives, have been either forced or coerced into a pregnancy...I'll let you connect the dots. The case for legalized abortion in the U.S. has merit...and I have more to share on that. Do both of us a favor and Search the OF for my previous posts/links on this
Your comments are welcomed...

Give me an example or two of links that are off-point...and do you consider a link to an NEJM study
of Masking that addresses a thread topic on that issue..."Off Point"?...if so, that's not my problem...talk to Baron about that one...he's probably still 'smarting' about it.
-
Level 4
If you ever care to backup your accusations, feel free to share with everyone. Those of us who
aren't MAGA supporters of Trump, will continue to expose the damage he's doing to our country.y..and the rest of the world. Learn to accept it...and hopefully learn the truth along the way.

Yes. In the long run, it will destroy (or at least diminish) the Open.
People are already afraid of being doxxed, and are starting to try to post more anonymously. This lessens the sense of community as people hide details like where they live, when they graduated ND, etc.
Meanwhile, NIL etc. will end up diminishing interest on the Footy... at least for those who cheer for the Irish for reasons other than the standard reasons people cheer for professional teams.
