What could Trump possibly do to get applause from all of you naysayers? Can he do anything to earn the benefit of doubt from you? Or, will you forever be a party hag and not give credit for anything?
As Cole posted earlier referencing Bernie, he beat the democratic machine, the republican establishment, and the media... at a minimum, that speaks volumes about his ability to connect with people. And don't give me the line that there are just 50 million bigoted idiots in the country.

Trump's top best decisions in winning his presidential election:
1. Began to pursue this political ambition as a R, not a D, a few years ago.
2. Chose Mike Pence as his VP
to ask questions, don't give them press pass to white house. Reward good journalism. This is my answer for Trump to your question. There is no other choices due to today's political atmosphere and media's hostility. The Buzzfeed editor in chief Ben Smith already said it clear: Publishing this dossier reflects how we see the job of reporters in 2017. They're hostile to you, they already are determined to do fake news business on you, what else you can do? Just punish them within your power.

….before that he only had the word of Clapper and Comey and Obama and the other Obama stoogies. Oh, and he had the word of the same intel community that just released fake news about him and has been leaking info the MSM in partisan fashion of a while now.
He wanted real evidence. They showed it to him. he accepted it and said so. i now accept it because Trump believes it - he would never say so if it weren't true.
Most people get this.

have warned him. The continuous leaks from "unnamed intelligence sources" that almost every MSM news outlet have been using over the past year should tell you that the IC has a problem. Trump also has been very pissed off about there screw up on the WMD intel - even after all of these years. It is hard to explain how they could get that one so wrong. It cost W a lot when any president would have believed it.

Don't put your words on his mouth. Did Russia try to hack? Yes. Is Russia the only one trying to hack? No. Did they try to hack 2016 election? Yes; Did they all only try to hack election 2016? NO, they all tried to do it on election 2012 too.

Fuck with him as Prez and he will decimate you.
Some folks will learn the true meaning of "Duck and Cover".
Oh....and PBS funding by taxpayers...good luck with that.
Yeah. He's a real tough guy. I'm sure the NYT is shaking in their boots.
The 5th Estate is about to take over.
Get used to it.
Even Bush didn't need anyone to hold his hand while he faced the music.
He's supposed to be leader of the free world. Putin won't always be around to help him, you know?
He better learn how to stand on his own two feet pretty quick.
in other words, be someone he is the opposite of.

It was a great achievement. Even if he does owe it to Putin.

I give few people, let alone elected officials, the benefit of the doubt. But, as with Obama whom I also dislike, I'm willing to look at efforts and accomplishments on a case-by-case basis and give credit (or criticism) accordingly.

Or maybe give the impression - even if he doesn't really believe it - that he understands the importance for dignity and decorum in the most powerful office in the world. Stop the round-the-clock clown show.
That would be a nice start.

....predators?
Not sure what this thread has to do with her since she lost and is no longer relevant.
But if you must know, I've been very critical of her for that exact issue, which is one of many reasons I voted against her in both primaries she ran.
I expect the binary logic (anti Trump must mean pro Hillary) from LT. Thought you were smarter.

took his name. There is no record that it was ever legally changed to Obama. What does that have to do with race?

is my right shoulder and I am right handed. Posting with my right arm immobile for 6 weeks will be challenging.
It is essentially a new shoulder now and have had no problems after about 3 months of pretty intense rehab. Just a warning... rehab sucks in a major way, at least it did for me... I had to take some pretty heavy doses of Vicodin before every session just to handle the stretching to get my range of motion back. I would definitely do it again though because I am finally pain free... it had gotten to where I could do no physical activity with my arm without it being immobile for multiple days after the activity. Good luck, will be praying for you.

worn out and never worked. Seriously, that's the best you can do? Why not address the issue, in lieu of making racist comments?
Why is it that no white president has ever had his nationality questioned?
I don't remember you calling for Trump's (or Romney's) birth certificates. I wonder why.

I guess being hispanic is technically an ethnicity...not a race. I think you give LT too much credit. I know a few birthers. Every one I know personally is also racist.
Ben Carson my preferred candidate among the Rs?
If you are referring to Cruz and Rubio. I like those guys. I see a legal issue with regards to their eligibility to be POTUS and it has nothing to do with ethnicity.
I will say that I do not like Rubio's open border and amnesty policy.
You are groping at straws and coming up short.
I hope you are joking.
fact that birthers agree that McCain is also not eligible. Same goes for Chester Arthur who is given as an example. It is a legal issue, and race is not relevant. That is poor excuse to make up for ignoring the law of the land. You have to attack those of us that say the law needs to be followed without regard to race. Very sad.
about Sessions.
He is also a member of the high order of Vikings.

have been questioned in the past, all of them Caucasian. Was that racist. Chester Arthur, Ike, Goldwater, George Romney, McCain. Not all became POTUS, but their status was questioned during the campaigns and lawsuits were filed. Study up.

As are all points related to birther-ism being a valid, non-racist belief.
Take Goldwater for example...nobody ever doubted that he was born in Arizona. The only controversy is AZ was a territory, not a state at the time of his birth. Much different than claiming he was born in Africa (or Europe since he's white).
(no message)
You'd think that if it wasn't racist, people would assume anyone with the last name McCain might have been born in Ireland.
That said. See above. I'm done debating the topic. I apologize if I offended you.
basis. He avoided the issue via article 3 standing, the same way Soetoro has avoided having to prove his background.
I never said that Soetoro was born in Africa. I have no idea where he was born. To this day he still refuses to make public any documents proving anything regarding his past.
Arthur is another that got away with it.
I agree, let's just agree to disagree.
Godspeed,
LT
...then either you don't understand what those words mean or you are a partisan dolt.
For lots of his critics, subconscious forces prevented Obama from ever seeming presidential. Far be it for me to suggest what those forces might have been.
interrupting the British National Anthem in the presence of the queen, etc., etc. Since when does the POTUS bow to foreign leaders and go around the world apologizing for our actions?

“Trump took on the Republican establishment, he took on the Democratic establishment, took on the media establishment and he ended up winning the election to become president of the United States. And that is an extraordinary accomplishment. And it talks about perseverance, it talks about very strong political instincts, it talks about a way to connect with people,” Sanders said.
“So I give Donald Trump his due,” he said.

Did he give Obama the benefit of the doubt or immediately start trying to cast a shadow on his legitimacy by being the nation's most prominent birther?

that indicates his citizenship, place of birth, heritage, or who his parents are or were.
In addition, regardless of his citizenship, he is not eligible for a job anywhere in the executive branch of the government. He failed to register for the draft. That is federal law.
Yes I suppose those that nearly all that wear uniforms also aren't birthers.

First public birther comment seems to be February 2011...2 years after Obama was sworn in. So I was wrong that he was a birther before Obama was inaugurated.

criticism she deserves on that front is her failure to follow up.

and she could not deny. All of the original birthers were Dems.
Even though HRC lost and is no longer nationally relevant on any level?
If that is the rules, why stop at HRC? Seems like both of us failed to mention Sheriff Joe (who also lost and is no longer relevant).
By the way...I think its disgusting that the Clintons also played the birther card. I voted against HRC in both primaries she ran. I despise her. Criticism of Trump is not praise of Clinton.
of money to have Sheriff Joe out. That does not make him irrelevant.
You can't leave her out of it. She was the first to speak the truth. One of the few times she has.
Maybe the citizens of your dear sheriff's county (which is 2/3 Republican and voted Republican for President in every election since WW2) were tired of his birther BS.
investigate. The evidence he uncovered is incontrovertible. My guess that you have no clue as to what he uncovered or you would not be taking the stance that you are.
The simple fact that violation of Federal law for failing to register for the draft makes him ineligible and the fact that he still refuses to provide any evidence of his background, including citizenship does not bother you?
