there should be a perception of immortality instead of compassion for others in the later days after the gathering.

Our entire family has been vaccinated
they are checking in to make sure. We have extended family with immune issues so several members won’t be there for holidays again this year.
There is the issue of passing it on even to those who are vaccinated and aren’t participating.
This was to be a much larger gathering seeing it has been years we have not all been together.
Oh well. Hopefully next TG.

That decision should just be based on the dinner/crowd itself.
It depends on your comfort level with your own status. Others' vaccination status won't have much impact on whether they are contagious carriers. So, if you feel okay about your own immune system status, that'll be your decision lever on whether you are good with an indoor crowd.
