This is all a set up for the impeachment.

It's always only been about Collins and Murkowski, and their re-election prospects.

Same people who say guilty-until-proven-innocent say no proof Feinstein leaked the letter.
They are on a search and destroy mission. They want a scalp. They will assassinate the character of a good man to get it.

Reminder: This clusterfuck is due to Trump, and his paranoia
The chick from ND would have sailed through.
BK was nominated because of his writings about sitting presidents, indictments and impeachments.
What a horrible day, and a horrible mess.

Total. B. S.
I find it funny that the Dems claim they are embarrassed by Trumps behavior. And then they go and do this, giving a clear indication that they have no problem acting like a bunch of clowns in public, on the national, even international, stage.

I’m shocked to find out you blame the Democrats. Shocked!
If Trump had nominated the ND chick, all this would have been avoided, and you’d have your anti-abortion judicial coalition in place already.
-
Level 4
You are so full of shit
If Trump had nominated the esteemed professor from Notre Dame, Dems would have tried to turn her into the second coming of Atilla the Hun. They would try to destroy anyone nominated. Fact.
-
Level 4
Trump forced them to abandon all principles? I don't think so. They did that on their own.
I would rather have "the ND chick" instead of Kavanaugh. But your statement blaming the actions of the Democrats on Trump is insane. But, whatever you have to say to make yourself feel better about what they are doing.

And the Dems in the committee punctuated what was a shitty day in Washington...
From Feinstein fucking up to Corey Booker acting like a dick head. Fucking all round disgrace.
We're all born bald baby! -

Correct, but there were other they could have chosen who don't have skeletons in the closet...
similar to Kavanaugh.

Level 6
Um, the FBI did a background check on him. How much more vetting do you expect?
(no message)We're all born bald baby!-
Level 7
The question asked at the hearing today was whether he would support a current FBI investigation,
presumably to include the new allegations. He hemmed and hawed and didn't indicate he would support it.
If you were accused of what Kavanaugh stands accused of and someone proposed that we get the preeminent investigative organization to investigate these claims, would you want that organization involved to help clear your name?
-
Level 8
I most definitely would support an FBI investigation if it would have been held last month...
when the "allegation" first landed in Feinstein's office. Now, it's just a Dam tactic to kill time, so that confirmation comes after the mid-term.
We're all born bald baby!-
Level 9
I don't know how this works, but does someone have to ask the FBI to investigate a crime?
If they thought there was merit, they'd open an investigation on their own, no?
-
Level 10
No federal crimes were committed.
I mean, I suppose he could drugged Ford and transported her across state lines. But, I don't think that has been alleged yet.
So, I don't think they can just order an investigation. I'm pretty sure that the Dems don't want to give the "Hey, go investigate this random person" power to Trump. But, who knows.
Having said all that, I'm not a criminal lawyer, and its been a while since I took Crim Law. And, there are so many federal laws, and I'm sure they can get Ford to say something that implicates one of them. If she says, "He asked me to go to the beach," that might be enough if they had to cross a state line...you know, human trafficking.

Grassley immediately produced a letter of support signed by 65 people
It was almost as if they knew there was a problem.

Here's an article on that.

Any serial rapist could get 65 women friends to attest that he always treats women w/ respect.

Proof? Maybe not. Still amazing. Could you get 65 H.S. women friends to sign a letter like that?
And if you were a multiple gang raper, do you think it would be harder to get that many to do that?

I heard that 8 people attended my recent 20 year class reunion, so no.
The article cited a private social network. Apparently it went "viral".
I am not sure that I "know" 65 women, but if my career and reputation we're on the line I would bet my wife could find 65 women that would vouch for me. Co-workers, clients, friends wives, neighbors, my children's teachers over the years. Yeah, there's at least 65 women I've interacted with and not sexually assaulted.
I think the list is meaningless.

Disagree, unless the two women step up. He’s a dick, but one can’t deny him based on that no matter
how credible she was. It’s unverified and unproven.

Level 3
He's an angry drunk.
That article Frank linked to the other day is a classic example of obnoxious, silver-spoon-in-mouth, entitled buttwipes. The kind who target some girl who undoubtedly didn't deserve it, for some published barbs in the yearbook. And then the buttwipe doesn't even have the cajones to fess up about even that part of the story and tells some lies about what the yearbook references meant.
And this is neither here nor there, but those must have some craphole athletic teams if he was captaining any of them.

I mentioned his current lying about the entry.
Not to mention his embarrassing histrionics throughout and his contradictory comments on welcoming an investigation.
The guy isn't remotely ready for this stage and it shows. Contrast him with Clarence Thomas at his hearings. It's striking. Thomas did not lose his cool. Thomas did not, as I recall, make asinine arguments that he's had X number of female associates advance to higher levels in the profession. We have any number of confirmed/convicted sexual predators who had women around them that they helped at different times. Does that mean that they couldn't have been predators? I'm trying to imagine Kavanaugh and his handlers designing a worse day of defenses and I'm coming up with bupkis. That sneer on his face and the histrionics will sure go a long ways to convincing people that he,never in a million years, could ever lose control, particularly when drunk.
Oh, and how could he be a sexual predator if he volunteers his time to coach girl's basketball? Yes, indeed. Predators never do stuff like volunteer to be around young girls and such. Just a magnificent performance.

THis story, not so much
But you all are the self righteous lawyers so i defer to your infinite wisdom

Yeah, that's a load of garbage.
And you know it, of course.
You believe the allegations against Clinton because you don't like his politics. Just like with Ellison and the others.

When we cast aspersions at someone, we are projecting disagreeable aspects of our own personality...
Seen in the light of today's trendy morality he may have been a "dick" as a young man in the 1980's. But one has to wonder how today's feminazis will look in 30 years?
-
Level 3
Thanks Freud. It’s simply an honest assessment. I think if I call Stalin a sadist, I’m not
projecting anything.
Oh, and he is a dick under any standard.
-
Level 4
I don't know... I feel there their is overwhelming evidence of Stalin's malfeasance... where as...
there is no "evidence" that Kavanaugh is anything but a brilliant and well respected jurist.
-
Level 5
You mean other than the people who said he got incoherently drunk all the time, other than his
yearbook profile, other than his demeanor at the hearing as opposed to the Fox interview, yeah no evidence.
-
Level 6
I applaud him for his aggressive stance at the hearing
You would do the same thing from the way you act on here
As would I
This woman has assassinated his character.
It is so fucked up.
-
Level 7
Of course you do, but you are also a dick. You can defend yerself aggressively and not act like
he did. You also don’t know that she assasinated his character or is telling the truth.
There is no proof either way. What if she is telling the truth? I think he was perfectly capable of doing that when he was incoherently drunk. You don’t think he got shithoused drunk regularly back then.
You are assasinating her character with zero proof.
-
Level 8
No frank I am not
I dont believe Kavanaugh did it
I have no doubt when she was 15 and she was shitfaced she believes someone assaulted her
Interesting you dont find it odd for a 15 yr old girl to be drinking all the time
I only said I believe that he didnt do it
Why would I think he did it? Explain that to me? No one, no one at all has corroborated this story
This is beyond belief
But once again you are the self righteous lawyer so I defer to your ability to read minds
-
Level 9
Why? Because, he was drunk, horny, immature and could get away with it
Happens all the time.
I don’t doubt she was drinking much more than she admits.
I do doubt she just made it up entirely after all these years.
Other than I’m pissed off at all of you, I didn’t do it, and it’s the Clintons fault, what did he say that was convincing? His calendar, please?

The fact you don't see a difference there says a lot about where you're at.
Pretty solid proof Stalin did sick shit, to everyone who doesn't teach at an American university. But there is no proof that this guy is a dick, let alone a criminal of any kind. I would instead call a 'dick' the dude who thinks he is weird for vigorously defending his good name. Just saying.
-
Level 5
I said he was a dick not a criminal. His reported past behavior and his belligerent behavior today
proves it.
-
Level 6
I assume that if 10 bottom feeding scumbags tried to ruin your family’s life you would just smile

No, but I would be more professional than this trump wannabe was.
