presumably to include the new allegations. He hemmed and hawed and didn't indicate he would support it.
If you were accused of what Kavanaugh stands accused of and someone proposed that we get the preeminent investigative organization to investigate these claims, would you want that organization involved to help clear your name?

Having said all that, I'm not a criminal lawyer, and its been a while since I took Crim Law. And, there are so many federal laws, and I'm sure they can get Ford to say something that implicates one of them. If she says, "He asked me to go to the beach," that might be enough if they had to cross a state line...you know, human trafficking.
