Very sad moment yesterday for my 2 ND grandkids...and me

with ND ignorantly "mandating" a "vaccine"...2 of which are not vaccines , but gene therapies ,with risks unknown to science, mRNA, both will not be coming back in the fall due to mandate. They both are devastated. These kids have no chance of dying from COVID, but their DNA future?? We won't have no idea about any long term harms for 5 years, then big pharma will play the statistics game.
I debate my daughter and SIL, both MDs, one a virologist, but they personally are not getting any as are many of their colleagues. They will find a spot for the kids. If the need take a year off for the world to relax, so be it i guess. They have the tools to succeed no matter where, but my old heart breaks. ND should not mandate. Offer, yes. The jury is truly out on these COVID jabs.

My heart is broken.

The article I read said they were allowing for medical or religious exemptions. Perhaps they could

And that lesson may be more valuable than anything they will ever hear in a classroom.

Sorry the grandchildren are faced with that predicament, but the university's policy makes good sense.

Many of the better tier schools are going to mandate it, so yes.

If you leave ND, where are you going to go that doesn’t?

I think everyone should get it as a matter of public health, but even if I felt differently, I wouldn’t leave my school over it.

And saying the Pfizer (which is the one that will be given at ND if that is where a student chooses to get vaccinated) or Moderna are "not vaccines" is simply not true. Besides there are places where the more traditional J&J vaccine can be obtained.

Requiring vaccines at ND isn't new:
The University currently requires enrolled students to be immunized for hepatitis B, meningitis, measles, mumps, rubella, tetanus, and chickenpox, and last fall required all students to receive the flu vaccine, again with medical and religious exemptions.

It is Pfizer. Think my kid is getting his today. He doesn’t know anyone at the law school expressing

an issue with it.

My youngest just got his yesterday at his school. Also, mandatory.

My daughter is working for the Courts in RI and they also mandate it for employees.

It’s a shame they feel the need to leave

Why won't they get the vaccine? Do they get other vaccines?

I don't get why getting a vaccine is being mandated. If, say, 70% get a vaccine, and the other 30% risk getting sick...everyone makes their choices, and everyone risks what they want to risk.

But I also don't get why people are avoiding the vaccines...especially if they get vaccines normally.

In time, you'll all get over it.

Hopefully not from an ICU bed.

flu shot. You're going to be in a really tough situation when they make the Kung Flu shot yearly. The current shot has shown to be effective for only 6 months and the fear mongers will always find "a new variant" of the virus.

not go back. It would be devastating to her but she is old enough to make the decision and I will support whatever one she makes. I'm sure your grandkids will land on their feet but to see rules like this put in place doesn't make sense to me.
