I can generally find any artist or song I want. The podcast selection is pretty weak, but they're addressing that now.

Ya know, you may be onto something.
If I could blacklist certain artists from my channels, that would be a really nice feature. Just because I like 80s hair bands once in a while doesn't mean I wanna listen to fucking AC/DC.

Spotify. Mine is free since its an Xbox app. Xbox users get it for free. If individual subscription,
I think but not very sure, is about $10 a month. I think you can also get free spotify with ad. But its on-demand song selection is very limited. Spotify works with more devices (Xbox, PlayStation, many speakers, desktop, smartphones...) than other streaming services. That's the only advantage about it.

If you have an Xbox, can you use spotify on other devices? E.g., login with your xbox account?
My kids have an Xbox. I've never used it. But the kids aren't using it for Spotify. The wife and I are the music listeners.

If kids' Xbox One and you couple's devices are paired in same wifi network, Yes, they play games
while you couple can listen to Spotify music. But I think your question is using Spotify as a standalone service on your device on different networks and you use your Xbox credential to sign in. This way I never tried. I think we both can try it and let's know the result to each other. :).
