I tried watching that show a couple times over the past few weeks. It's unwatchable.
They're outrage overachievers. I see Miika was actually forced, obviously from above, to walk back hyperbolic statements she made the other day.
Even before Trump, I couldn't stand the show. Talk about the elites getting together: "Yuck, yuck, yuck...we're all friends here!" An incestuous coven of Washington insiders displaying their vast separation from most of the country.

I don't think it's any loonier than the proposition that they just took him off suicide watch or
left him alone with the necessary materials to hang himself after he tried suicide a couple weeks ago. All with the most publicized case in recent memory. That's, er, crazy.

Sure it is because medical makes the decisions to remove watches.
That’s called negligence and happens routinely. At that point he’s eligible for a regular cell.
Far different than officials doing it for nefarious reasons as part of a conspiracy which at the very least they will be fired for. Also, they don’t make the removal decisions the docs for nuts do that.

Never said it was. You can argue that he should have been held under a stricter standard given his
status.
But, under normal standards fuck ups happen all the time. Inmates are taken off of watches prematurely, guards miss round checks at night, pedos hang up in prison. He had to have been medically cleared to be removed from watch. Medical does the removing. The dr. then also needs to have been in on it. It was a massive fuck up sure, and Barr should be pissed. Happened under his watch. Heads will roll as I mentioned before. Extremely doubtful it’s anything else. If there is evidence, not conjecture that it was something else, I will revise my thoughts.

My point is that this wasn't a common defendant and I can't recall this ever happening with a...
similar defendant of this profile who was a suicide risk, and there are several famous examples. Comparing the situation to one with an ordinary defendant isn't a good comparison, given the stakes here. Given that prison officials can make decisions about whom to release, color me skeptical that they would have no power to exert in a case like this, leaving it to a doctor, particularly with pressure from above.

Cameras are bullshit. They are never monitored properly. The only way is a stripped cell, one one
with a smock. (which by the way you heard that here first before the article). Those are at times discontinued negligently and prematurely. And yes, heads will roll over it (you heard that here first as well).
Until there is something else evidence wise, (which I very much doubt) that’s what I think happened. As it has in cases I have dealt with the last 30 plus years.

Normally not the psychologist but the psychiatrist. The Warden has final approval, but normally
defers to the psychiatrist. Never seen one where the psychiatrist didn’t make the call.
Now if that didn’t happen that would be a true red flag.

My guess is that someone from medical took him off watch prematurely (all suicide watch drops and removals are approved and directed by medical), and then some night shift CO misses a thirty minute check and dead inmate.

Agreed. Government has to be better.
One very interesting development is that the person who had standing to challenge the search warrant is now dead. Everything the FBI discovered in his mansion and his safe is now discoverable. All is not lost. At least we will find out what the FBI found through the civil lawsuits. but obviously we wanted that information and his testimony.
