I hate to gloat, I really do, but once again, we see dogma from the hyphenated, grievance studies programs in academia wreaking havoc in public policy. Just like the Criminal Justice Reform bill, AKA, "Let's Let Violent Criminals Out of Prison and Pretend They're Just Low-Level Pot Smokers." Keep these things, and other examples, in mind when someone tries to tell you that this stuff is isolated to the nether regions of academia and has no effect on the larger society. To wit, from the article, "SB 419 'may be one of the best ways to disrupt the school-to-prison pipeline,' Skinner said." Even the teacher's unions in places from Philly, to Nashville, to Milwaukee, to St. Paul, and beyond, have expressed alarm over the increasing violence against students and teachers over the past few years. This kind of idiotic policy keeps the kids who victimize your kids captive in your schools, free to victimize more children and staff.

I saw one of the fathers of the Parkland victims on TV last night and he was talking about this very subject. It was evident that he had done his research. He found out, which most taxpayers do not, that those students with 100-plus office referrals have the slate wiped clean once the school year ends. He found out that public schools routinely protect violent students who assault other students from introduction to the criminal justice system. You wouldn't believe the sort of offenses that never make it outside of the walls of many of your local schools. Little surprise that many of these school shooters have long school rap sheets. Might want to focus on that part of the equation at some point.

As usual, California leads the way into the abyss.
