The bureaucracy is filled with patriots.
Those four lawyers that left the case yesterday could make about 10x their salaries in the private sector.
The federal government is filled with people who are trying to hold this country together until this madness stops. That's patriotism.

I allowed for the fact that there are indeed many patriots in the federal bureaucracy. I merely objected to the characterization of "filled".
Mattis and Kelly certainly served with distinction which is something I respect greatly.
The spats are largely the result of Trump's narcissism and childishness which I, and I think most people, could certainly do without. If he would knock that off, he might win re-election easily. However, he is unable to control himself.
That said, the Democrats keep leaning towards candidates that allow Trump to carry on.
