Candidates running, the most refined, and the one I would most likely become friends with is Klobuchar. Buttigeig next.
But their policies would be disastrous.
Bernie is pathologically angry, Biden is a grifter, and Bloomberg own words speak for themselves.
I am in full sgreement that Trump is social pig. But his policies and decisions have saved our country already while the others will tip over the apple cart.
I also believe that since Melania that Trump has developed a heart, but I dont vote on how a candidate makes me feel. I vote based on their policies.
It was the fact he was the biggest asshole. That's what excited his base. That's what won him the nomination. His election is why we've all quit debating policy and now just shout at each other.
Btw...which policies of Bill Weld do you disagree with?
I voted for Kasich in the primary. I votedfor Trump because of polcy promises combined with the alternative being HRC.
Now, Trump has proven to keep the promises I hoped that he would(a risk that paid off).
Trump has my vote (almost) no matter what - esp given the crazy lib Dem alternatives being offered.

The choice was (a) certain bad policies by HRC vs. (b) unknown Trump who stated some good policies but there was no certainty (at least in my mind) that he would make good on them. But, rolling the dice on the chance of a good outcome was better than a certain bad outcome.
Trump 2020 is a different beast entirely. We now know that his policies are good for the country, and that he will make good on his promises for the most part. It is easier to vote for him now.
Sure, he's still an asshole. And I can't speak for "his base." But, the country is better off electing him for another 4 years...which is a relative thing when comparing him to viable candidates. I know very little about Weld, other than he is not a viable (read: electable) alternative to Trump (which is to say, he will lose the primary). I will be voting on the Dem primary this time around, because the GOP primary is already decided.

fortune, a real billionaire, ran a real company of more than 6 relatives and sycophants, governed an almost ungovernable city for 8 years, and is smarter, more acerbic, and entirely unafraid to jump right down into the gutter and engage the Orange freak.
