The IEA released its 2019 global CO2 emission report

"The United States saw the largest decline in energy-related CO2 emissions in 2019 on a country basis – a fall of 140 Mt, or 2.9%, to 4.8 Gt. US emissions are now down almost 1 Gt from their peak in the year 2000, the largest absolute decline by any country over that period."

I wonder if we'll see retractions from all the usual climate morons who went apoplectic when the US pulled out of the Paris Climate Accord. If I cared enough it would be fun to search this board's archives for some of the insightful comments from said morons.

You realize why this happened, right? You are not crediting Trump, right?

I made no reference to the cause of US emission reductions, nor did I attribute any such reductions to Trump.

Good news on US climate activity (insofar as one believes CO2 emissions actually matter, which is a whole different thread) is undoubtedly troubling to many.

It is "troubling" to no one. This is a weird thread.

Stock Market up
Unemployment down
and now a reduction in greenhouse gases
I am not sure I can go on.

You really believe that leaders who feel they have the right to intervene in federal prosecutions of their pals are consistent with those norms?

There will be another D prez one of these days.

These clowns better hope that person is a better man or woman than this slovenly jerkoff, and doesn’t use what he’s doing as precedent.

We would be much better off as a nation.

And then his boy goes to a summit and says he believes the supporter over his own govt.

That’s just special.

Don't care who Vlad wanted to win, no one should, my original point.
It's our job to prevent interference in our elections, we've sanctioned Russia.
Trump is an idiot and says stupid things all the time, yet he was still elected in 2016 and may win again in 2020. Blame the people if you want, but it's a symptom, IMO.

Read the Federalist Papers if you think it is a groundless fear.

I don’t know what you mean by accept. He won, but had illegal help. It doesn’t vitiate the result. It causes concern though about how he would govern. A rightful concern in my view.
