John Bolton is one of the most odious people in Washington. Trump is unfit for office.
The book excerpts prove both statements.
A string of kicks to the national balls.

The most odious but you still buy his narrative? Again, sold your soul to neocon for your anti-Trump
-
Level 1
Trump should be arrested on January 20, 2021.
There's no immunity from criminal charges stemming from his official (or unofficial) acts while in office.
I guarantee he has no idea that's a thing.
Kind of reminds me of when Rocket Ismail played for Notre Dame
Invincibility with no vulnerability-
Level 2
Tish James will prolly indict him in mid to late October.

Whether or not self-pardon is valid would be in front of Scotus rather quickly.
(no message)God may not care who wins, but His mother does-
Level 4
The pardon power is a purely executive power. There are no limits.
You can argue that there should be, of course, and if wishes were horses, beggars would ride.
Granted, if Trump pardons himself, I could see a constitutional amendment being proposed to limit the pardon power. But, we wouldn't know he pardoned himself until he was arrested, and by then the country would be in civil war, so let's hope we never get to see his self-pardon.

1974 Justice Department memo says otherwise, based on fact that Founding Fathers never contemplated
self pardon.
God may not care who wins, but His mother does-
Level 6
I knew about that. Self-serving, non-binding memo, IMO.
I'm not being an advocate here. I think, objectively, that SCOTUS will decline to restrict an explicit power of another branch of government like that.
I could be wrong. And, as I say, I hope we never find out. To paraphrase the worst "The Shirt" ever, I'm hoping that the Dems rise above themselves.

I take it back. There is one limit. Here is the text of the Constitution.
The President ... shall have Power to grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offenses against the United States, except in Cases of impeachment.

Level 6
A Trump self pardon would not extend to state crimes either.

True. You will certainly be able to consummate our status as a banana republic.
Be proud of your destruction.

Here's a fun scenario.
January 19, 2021 -- Trump resigns, and Pence is sworn in. Pence Pardons Trump.
January 20, 2021 -- Biden is sworn in.But, don't worry. I'm sure the Southern District of NY will try to arrest Trump for something. I mean, why not, right?
Evil preaches tolerance until it is dominant, then it tries to silence good.-
Level 7
Why would the Sovereign District be involved?

Level 8
I give up. Why?
(no message)Evil preaches tolerance until it is dominant, then it tries to silence good.-
Level 9
? You brought up the S.D. and I asked you why they would be involved.
(no message)God may not care who wins, but His mother does-
Level 10
Oh, the Southern DIstrict!
Actually, I did say Southern District, didn't I. I was mistaken, because that is a federal designation. I meant whatever state prosecutors there are in that area. Or, you could use D.C. prosecutors. Who am I to pick the method for destroying the peaceful transition of power in our democracy? That is up to you.

Level 11
Bill Barr, Mike Pompeo, Jared et al will need pardons, too.
(no message)God may not care who wins, but His mother does-
Level 12
Yes. Entire family, even Barron. First Family is no longer off limits. You guys might go for him too
(no message)Evil preaches tolerance until it is dominant, then it tries to silence good.-
Level 13
Nah, Tiff who he wanted to abort, Melania, and Barron are the non criminal wing of the family.
(no message)-
Level 14
Irrelevant. We aren't discussing criminality. We are discussing prosecution attempts.
Pardons work well against witch hunts.

Level 15
RICO charges would be fitting. So many predicate acts. And such longggg sentences. Ahhh.
(no message)God may not care who wins, but His mother does -
Level 15
Oh please. There are plenty of REAL criminals in that crime family to go after.

Level 16
Again, criminality is irrelevant. We are discussing pardons to avoid 521's witch hunt prosecutions.

Raid Obama’s home in the middle of the night like Manafort’s for using the DOJ against opponents?
BaronVonZemo64382 postsThis is the kind of thing that Albany is proposing. The end of the peaceful transition of power and the end of democracy. TDS brought them to this point. I do not think that we will ever recover. The Left doesn’t even allow opposing speech anymore. They have become all of the worst things that they used to falsely claim in others.

Bolton is worse than all of them. A real Neocon that cause Iraq and now he is saved because of his
hatred of Trump. He is suspect at best. Like Comey who was hated for causing Hillary the election is all of a sudden elevated because of his hatred for Trump. Both men are who they always were. But their popularity only exists because of Trump. They will disappear into irrelevance.

In fairness, one of the biggest voices on FoxNews (Tucker) despises Bolton.
I've also seen Kennedy tear him to shreds. There is not universal love for Bolton on FoxNews.
To your point, I think you make a valid criticism of Trump. The Bolton hire was perplexing (and not the only one). Trump did resist his push for war with Iran, though.
30 second search turned up these segments (one general criticism; one an interview taking Bolton to task for pushing for war in Iraq and Iran). He's battled/criticized him more than this, though.

Tucker maybe the biggest voice on Fox right now. It’s the only show I will always watch.
He’s been hitting on CHAZ/CHOP nightly and also BLM. Last night it was the Republicans turn. He isn’t a fan of McConnell either.

I don’t doubt for a minute though that his claims are true. They all reek of shit that Orange would do.

There is a reason why the GOP Senate did not want to call witnesses at the Impeachment trial.
Looking forward to not having a corrupt, dishonorable and inept person occupy the Oval Office.
Bolton still put his own interests above the nation's interests by not coming forward during House hearings. Would never buy his book.
The American Dream belongs to all of us. — Kamala Harris-
Level 2
Correct, remember when posters here said they couldn't wait for the GOP to call Hunter Biden?
There's a reason it never happened. They realized whatever dirt they could get on Biden would pale in comparison to what would be dug up on Trump.

I disagree, i beleive it was due to all the dirt that would come out on every Senator/Congressman's
own dirty family member dealings.

He refused to testify under oath in front of Congress and is going to get rich off of this book.
You fell for every fake news story about Russia. Every one. And now you're falling for this because, well, you hate Trump, you don't care about the truth when it comes to Trump, and, well, you hate Trump.
MSM against him.
Special counsel against him.
FBI against him.
And he still wins.
Must be infuriating.

OK, and you have more evidence than he does? He had open check book
and army for research but couldn't find evidence, but you have some? Mueller was
failure and disappointment to the left. He should have checked with Adam Sciff, who claimed to have
all the evidence for over a year, and never claim up with zilch-
Level 6
See the issue is when you have people willing to lie for the prez, it’s pretty hard to prove.
Check the report re the concerns expressed about the truthfulness of the info they got.
Also, when the other party involved, Russia is also covering up for you and denying what everyone knew they did it makes it doubly hard. With Nixon it took tapes or he would have lied his way out of it also.

Got it, so its complete tea leaf reading and conjecture on your part. Good to know
