It should be a warning to all in the US what to expect if Left gets control again here -
BaronVonZemo64444 poststhey tried once by opening the border without vetting. It was such a high priority to their plan to shift the political paradigm that they encouraged illegals with criminal history. They brought in people during COVID without any screening while they had the rest of us in Lock Down. They even provided planes to Venezuela while stripping the US Border Patrol of members, and funding, and giving them other busy work so that they coudn't do their jobs. They even doxed ICE officials trying to enforce our laws.
This is what the Democrats now stand for.Vote Republican.

Here's just one example from the 2024 Bipartisan Senate Border Security and Immigration Bill...i.e.
the Biden Admin signed off on it...this section summary has to do with Mark H's claim that the Bill allowed 5K undocumented immigrants per day to just enter the country...Not True...so much for the Trope of "Open Borders"...
----------------
AI OverviewNo, the 2024 Senate immigration bill (the Emergency National Security Supplemental Appropriations Act) did not have a limit or allowance of 5,000 immigrants or illegal entries per day.
How the 5,000 Figure Actually Worked
• Migrant Encounters, Not Releases: The 5,000 number referred to a Border Emergency Authority trigger based on migrant "encounters" (instances where Border Patrol stops someone trying to cross), not a quota of people allowed to enter or stay.
• Mandatory Closure Trigger: The bill would have required the Department of Homeland Security to close the border and summarily expel migrants if daily border encounters exceeded an average of 5,000 per week (or 8,500 in a single day).
• Discretionary Closure: The Homeland Security Secretary would have had the discretion to use emergency expulsion powers once encounters hit a weekly average of 4,000.
• Goal of the Mechanism: Rather than permitting 5,000 people to enter, the trigger was designed to shut down standard processing and turn away crossers when volume crossed that threshold

That’s Ukraine border bill. This board already discussed it many times. Did your AI tell you that?
That bill tied Ukraine aid to the issue of U.S. border crisis, meaning if you want to solve our border issue you have to give Ukraine aid at first.
That bill is typical election year bill, cynical and phony. D saw border and immigration became top priority issue of voters in the polls and Trump secured nomination for 2024 election. They pretended to do something. Even so they still want to tie Ukraine aid to the bill. In fact the bill gave more $ to Ukraine than to DHS despite the name of the bill has no Ukraine name.
US border doesn’t need new bill. Just let border people do the job and give them the necessary funds. Immigration needs reform, but let’s do it seriously, from first year of presidency (either R president or D president).

The Comprehensive 2024 Bipartisan Border Bill is a Dagger in the MAGA heart and exposes Trump’s own
Hoax…that’s why you and your Buds try to dismiss it…with no evidence whatsoever.

You haven't provided one shred of evidence, Jake...I've got an entire Bill crafted by GOP and Dem
Senators that far exceeds what DJT himself called for in 2019...Repeat...Trump Called on Congress to 'Do Its Job' and pass a bill...Under Biden...the Democrats did just that...i.e. they Called his Bluff.
Your opinion isn't anywhere near enough, Kiddo...

Bill codified 5,000 “encounters” per day (and up to 8500 in one day) before a “Border Emergency”…
TakethetrainKnute35946 posts…could be declared. (How many “got aways” per “encounter”?)
Per Pew Research:
“ The Border Patrol recorded 237,538 encounters with migrants at the U.S.-Mexico border in the 2025 fiscal year, which began in October 2024 and ended in September 2025. That was down from more than 1.5 million encounters in fiscal 2024, more than 2 million in fiscal 2023 and a record of more than 2.2 million in fiscal 2022. The 2025 total was the lowest in any fiscal year since 1970, according to historical data from the Border Patrol.”
Bill sought to codify an “encounter” figure as “better” based on Biden Administration’s deliberate ineptitude at the border that led to insanely inflated figures to begin with.
Working off of those figures to codify acceptable “improvement” was the problem enough people saw through.

As I said...JB followed existing Immigration Law during his administration...Note that Dems have
Always agreed that New Laws were/are required...and they stepped forward with that 2024 Bill which would dramatically reduce the number of undocumented immigrants...AND...funded not just 750 more CBP Officers to sharply reduce "Getaways", which DJT asked for in 2019...but 1,500 more CBP Officers...and more ICE Officers...etc., etc.
Here's the substantiation for Biden following existing Immigration laws...Again, the shrill cry of "Open Borders" is nothing but a MAGA Trope for the purpose of duping those who won't take the time to research anything on their own...case in point...

AI Overview
The Biden administration operated within the framework of existing statutory law, though several of its major executive actions, enforcement priorities, and asylum restrictions were challenged and repeatedly blocked or struck down by federal courts.
Major Legal Actions and Court Rulings
• Enforcement Priorities (United States v. Texas): The Biden administration issued guidelines directing ICE agents to focus enforcement on national security, public safety, and border threats rather than arresting all undocumented immigrants. While lower courts blocked the policy, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled 8–1 in June 2023 that the states challenging the guidance lacked legal standing to dictate executive enforcement discretion.
• Migrant Protection Protocols (Biden v. Texas): The administration attempted to terminate the Trump-era "Remain in Mexico" policy. In June 2022, the Supreme Court ruled 5–4 that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) possessed the statutory authority under the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) to end the program.
• Asylum Restrictions and CBP One: Federal courts struck down aspects of the administration's sweeping 2024 asylum limits and border restrictions (such as Las Americas Immigrant Advocacy Center v. DHS), ruling that specific bars on asylum eligibility and departures from statutory fear-screening procedures violated the INA and the Administrative Procedure Act (APA).
• Parole-in-Place (Keeping Families Together): A federal district judge in Texas struck down the administration’s parole-in-place program designed to offer legal status and a path to citizenship for undocumented spouses of U.S. citizens, ruling that DHS misused its statutory parole authority

Biden followed the existing law…and agreed to the tighter version I posted…ergo, the shrill cry of
“Open Borders” is nothing but a mindless political Trope. Wouldn’t surprise me if a Dem House and Senate re-submitted the same Bill.

I just showed Mark H how his similar claim was in error...care to comment on that exchange...
...since he no longer wants to discuss it.
Mention of that Bill really gets your attention...doesn't it...I suspect it's because it exposes Trump for the Charlatan that he is...
btw, another part of that Bill was the #1, long time request from the CBP for Drug Control...i.e. High Tech/High Volume Fentanyl/Drug Scanners for the tens of thousands of cars and trucks coming into the U.S. every single day. The 2024 Bill had such Scanners budgeted to meet the CBP's request...have you heard one word from him about them?...
You're being duped...by someone who couldn't care less if you...or your kids lived or died. He Only thinks of himself...and your vote to keep him...and only him...satisfied. Hard to accept, and swallow, for a MAGA...but that's the truth.
