Is the wealth tax fool's gold?
Money will flee and leave the coffers dry and it's likely SCOTUS will rule it unconstitutional.
But hey... it makes for great campaigning fodder.

a lesson.
it's a major cause of clinical depression.
the Inequality Gap was 1/10th what it is today...and back then, even union workers could afford vacation homes...and they could afford to purchase furniture and appliances for them...i.e. Everyone succeeded...the companies and the workers, who were happy to do their jobs well.
That is not the case now...and unless the Gap is brought down, more and more Americans will feel more and more distress...it doesn't have to be that way...but for the Greed of a very few.
This has nothing to do with unsubstantiated 'Envy'.
at the same time fighting any efforts to raise minimum wages, or union bargaining power...and it shows in the CEO/Avg. Worker compensation ratio...as well as the outrageous amounts of money/wealth that billionaires accumulate.
When one man in America has more wealth than 53% of All Americans...that is Wrong...and needs to be corrected. Btw, that is symbolic of the overall Wealth Gap that exists between CEOs and Average Workers.
Note that Elon Musk used a lot of taxpayer dollars to build Tesla...and NASA talent (taxpayer funded) to build SpaceX.
Tyrone will not part with any of his money, just wants other people to lose theirs.
important.
current tax laws, all those kids of his could eventually share that wealth...without ever lifting a finger...sound right to you?
...not surprising that the "Hoover Institute" would object...it sides with the GOP.

Same old game of lies and deception.
You voted to elect a reckless President who started an unjustified and unlawful war that has cost taxpayers $47 billion thus far.
The government needs money.
Now tell us about the GOP this term in getting a federal budget passed. Oooops
Now tell us about Congressional approval for the Iran War. Oooops.
Regarding your side bar distraction efforts:
The Iran War was prosecuted legally as well with powers granted to the POTUS.
That was for the purpose of stopping the largest terrorist exporter in the world from gaining a nuclear weapon which it had vowed to use on Israel and the US whenever they could get it. (As if their many proven terrorist acts and assassination attempt on the POTUS was not enough proof).
I know that you were angry that Iran did not get the weapon with which to harm our country or at the very least extort my country for the rest of its existence, but the war to prevent that was done quite legally - as was your massive and unnecessary spending bill which was full of waste and fraud as we now know.
But back to the question you dodged....where was your concern about the deficit then when you greedily grabbed the tax payers money?
I believe in bang for the buck spending, with robust debate and vetting by our elected officials. That is our process.
We have seen zilch from the Republicans since JAN 2025 when they assumed power. No debate. No meaningful engagement.
Just DOGE and the Oligarch.
I'd explain the economic foolishness of your theory about taxing the rich, but it's easier to just point to the states of NY and Cali and Illinois and what is happening there.
Your idea doesn't work - for all of the reasons posters in this thread have been telling you.
And nothing works when you keep stealing money form the citizens by passing 4 to 5 trillion dollar bills to print yourself more money for your special interest groups.
