There has to be a cost/benefit analysis applied to this issue.
Another year (or even semester) of stay at home online school will be absolutely devastating to a majority of children... particularly in inner cities. Those kids will become a lost generation. The spring semester was a joke, everywhere.
Couple that with the difficulty for working families with having kids at home. Even when the parents work from home it is brutal for them. Does mom quit her job?
IMO, we have to do everything we can to get kids back in school this fall. Even if it means acknowledging up front that we will further spike this virus.
There needs to be in person schooling this Fall. Not my point.
