What does the Constitution say if if takes many months to determine the winners (all of them)?

Even the NYT recognizes that mail in ballots will create chaos. I mean, the ballot has to be signed and the signature has to agree with the registration signature or it's not good. Right? This could leave us without most of our elected officials.

Trump's term ends 1/20/21. If no 'winners' in House or Senate, the remaining 65 Senators choose.

Each state's electors meet in their respective state capital on the first Monday after the second Wednesday of December to cast their votes. The results are counted by Congress, where they are tabulated in the first week of January before a joint meeting of the Senate and House of Representatives, presided over by the vice president, acting as president of the Senate. Should a majority of votes not be cast for a candidate, the House turns itself into a presidential election session, where one vote is assigned to each of the fifty states. The Senate would elect the Vice President. The elected president and vice president are inaugurated on January 20.

I wish every state would go to the system used in Maine and Nebraska for allocating electoral votes. That may keep our Republic alive a bit longer.

The first time my Republican father will vote Democrat is after he dies. There's that, too.
