Northern Exposure and Seinfeld. Northern Exposure is one of the very few shows that can't be streamed anywhere (Maude is another).
I liked the cheesy nighttime soaps.
90210 (the characters -- obviously not the actors -- were a year ahead of me in school, so it was relatable) and Melrose Place (Michael Mancini remains a Top-5 all-time television character).
Married with Children and The Simpsons were also in my must-watch list.

90210 faded during the college years.
Once Dillon lost Toni, I soured on it.
I too was a class behind them.
Yeah, they didn't keep the "college" story going.
That lasted about a season or so, and then all of a sudden they gave them all actual careers. Because, you know, there's a huge market for 20-year-olds without degrees or experience in the Los Angeles business scene.
At that point, they had 2 problems: Party of Five had taken over the teen-angst evening viewers and Melrose Place still had the market cornered on the young adult nighttime soap audience. (And Buffy the Vampire Slayer was starting to take off). 90210 didn't really have a direction anymore.
That and Donna's part enlarged.
I was fine having her pass out at the prom, but anything beyond that was torture.

DS9?...it was Babylon 5 for me.
Although, Highlander was a great show...wife and I both watched it, which made it fun. That one would definitely be on my short list.

Blue Velvet and The Straight Story were great movies.
Did you happen to see The Straight Story? It's so un-Lynchlike, I would think you would enjoy it.

Never seen TSS. Saw BV in a drunken stupor in college, so could be me.
Twin Peaks and Dune were just normal bad, I thought. (And I think Dune is one of the best sci-fi books I've ever read.) But, Eraserhead is what truly ruined me on Lynch...a uniquely awful movie, IMO. That's when I decided he was just playing practical jokes on his audiences. But, obviously tastes differ.
Blue Velvet is odd, so I can see how people might not like it, though I think it is great. TSS on
the other hand is just a slice of life movie based on a true story about an old guy who drove his tractor like 250 miles to see his estranged brother before they died.
Some would say it's too slow or simple of a movie, but I thought it was very well done with excellent acting.
