COVID data manipulation?

In Michigan we've seen deaths associated with COVID averaging 7 per day for quite some time. Yesterday it was only 1. Today Biden is in town and attacking Trump's management of the COVID crisis and suddenly we have 76 deaths associated with COVID. Gotta be a coincidence, right?

Biden's management of the virus would have been exactly like Trump's

1. No Travel Ban
2. Nationwide mask mandate, which he would no no longer do.
