a significant factor in the glacier's collapse...rising temperatures cause glacial melting with water leaking down through the many, many crevasses to the permafrost "glue" below, as well as fractures in the bedrock...i.e. weakening the bond that holds the glacier back.
Listening to a 'Cherry Picking' climatologist is never a good idea...but you have an amazing inclination for betting on losers.
