NBA hammers the Clippers, Ballmer
Steve Ballmer is one of the greatest - and luckiest - morons of our time. The entirety of his success is life is due to being randomly assigned to live down the hall from Bill Gates at Harvard. Bill liked the guy and needed someone to manage the business end of a growing Microsoft, and thought he knew something about business, at a result of Ballmer managing the Moist 'N Easy Snack Cake Mix product at P&G (I am serious).
Ballmer transformed Microsoft from the company that defined personal computing into a lumbering giant that watched the next generation of computing escape through its fingers. He gave us the Windows Vista humiliation, the Zune (immediate failure), Bing, the Kin (immediate failure) and the laughable Windows Phone.
He then desperately spent $7.2 billion to acquire Nokia after failing to build a platform of its own. How did that work out? They soon wrote down most of it.
He told us...“There’s no chance that the iPhone is going to get any significant market share. No chance.” A visionary, that Ballmer.
Completely unsurprised that he is ruining the Clippers.
