have Canada as his top priority, that is for certain.

I have several friends with high end jobs in Canada - their stories and situations confirm this though only about half of them realize it.

Canada was heading down this trail long before Trump demanded a reciprocal trade agreement. Now, the last thing the country can afford is to do what Carney is doing.
But Carney doesn't have Canada people as his primary concern. He is a Goldman Sacks, European globalist who even now is trying to bring Canada into the EU as a junior member.
"We won't ever be a state!" has turned into "We want to be a junior state of a lesser economy across an ocean"

But Canada never had to be a state at all. It simply needed to sign a favorable trade agreement (by their own trade negotiators and Carney's estimation in the days leading up to Carney's political grandstand.

To Carney's credit, he has the Canadians primarily focused on Trump rather than the liberal policies that caused them their decline, he has delivered the package to the EU (or maybe China), and he has furthered the primary globalist agenda of trying to weaken Trump in the midterm with mild price increases. But the increases for his own people will not be minor, nor will they be temporary.

Canada is a complete mess.
