She’s a clown. But she is also not the President.
Trump incited an actual riot. From the most powerful position in the world.

I give you credit for at least seeing the hypocrisy of the left in ignoring Waters. I actually heard Trump's entire speech in its' non MSM propaganda edited form. It will not win any awards, but it was not an incitement of riot. maxine, on the other hand, is doing exactly that, and the MSM and Dems say nothing whatsoever.
Oh, and when you're a US congressman, inciting riot is still bad and worthy of removal.

...I just don't think that he incited the riot intentionally. In typical fashion, his rambling was a mess. But he did specifically have a moment when he had walked up to the line and realized it...and he specifically said that "we will march peacefully" and he repeated it.
On the other hand, Maxine has doubled down. If any other verdict that guilty is given with any other sentence that the worst given, she wants "even more confrontation" in a setting where they are already burning, looting, and destroying cities as well as attacking police.
Trump is out of office. Maxine Waters is not. For credibility, you need to condemn her actions publicly.

....you believe in leftist causes, but you are unafraid to say when you think a line is being crossed. while there are many other Left wing posters here who secretly know that Maxine crossed a line, they will not say so until given the signal from the MSM that it is ok to say so. They are in lock step, it you are not.

I share your concern about Maxine Waters' comments being dangerous and I hope that she'll take a
moment to channel her 'inner Martin Luther King' and John Lewis (i.e. "Good Trouble") so that everyone registers their emotions peacefully.
As to Donald Trump...the whole thing on Jan. 6th started with him...he chose the date, the time and the place...why?...because it was the last chance to subvert democracy and keep himself in "power"...as opposed to "service". I shouldn't have to remind you of the many, many times he called upon the mob to "Fight" and join him in overturning the election results...it's all on tape.
As for you...you recently 'incited' unrest here on the Board over the claim that Joe Biden was failing the country by not paying any attention to the looming threat of cyber attacks on our energy grid...when I provided incontrovertible evidence to the contrary...that he had launched (5 days before your post) a major campaign for that very purpose...I heard nothing from you...not even a whispered "mea culpa"...there's still time.

I didn't say that Biden has no plans.
I've seen a Biden plan in operation at the border. Let's just say that doesn't instill a lot of confidence in his other plans at the moment.

First of all, I'm at a loss as to why you're jumping in on a personal critique I have of Baron...but
since you did, for your convenience, here's what BVZ posted on the topic of energy grid security...

To this I replied that in ~15 sec. I was able to search out the Bloomberg article (from 5 days before BVZ's post) entitled "Biden Rushes to Protect Power Grid as Hacking Threats Grow"...the article then goes into some detail as to who the players are and how the Biden administration is trying to make this a shared program between government and the private sector...if you haven't read it your self, take a few minutes to do so...very encouraging, but of course we all need to make sure 'rubber hits the road'.
Now I've had a fair number of conversations and presentations in the presence of very intelligent and accomplished individuals and my line of reasoning hasn't failed me...but no one is perfect, so again, if I failed to adjudge that the Bloomberg article was clear refutation of Baron's central message (i.e. Biden was not addressing the threat of cyber attacks on our electrical grid), then do me a favor and help me learn what went wrong...that goes for you, too, Baron, if you're reading this.
As far as using the term "incontrovertible", I do stand corrected...absolutely "Nothing" on this Board is "Incontrovertible"...no matter how much evidence is provided.

Btw, welcome back Chris. I share your frustration about the winter shut down. I found it somewhat sobering given the actions of the social media companies as well as the bullying that has been going on towards different points of view.
Still, I think it is right to continue engaging in debate, and I'm glad you came back. The Left side of this board badly needs you. :)

That is the best way to look at it if I were like the left and only cared about the votes, but
......she is going to really cause a lot of immediate physical damage and a lot of long term race relations problems.
I was just thinking recently how such great strides had been taken in race relations by 2007, but how the Obama regime threw them right back in the crapper when he took power (and I mention Obama because he is now the power behind the Biden handlers now). Maxine is merely a minion.
