This type of surveillance needs rigorous oversight and consequences for misuse, as evidenced by a
recent case in San Jose, CA...(see link)
I'm sure the intentions of the ND Administration are good...but its use carries responsibility.

Sad. They should have notified up front
It is their property...so I don't have the same objection I do to governments doing it.
Still, they should have posted and notified...

Those cameras can also be used to
identify defiant trespassers such as
unauthorized protesters with bad intentions.-

Can be...but same, or similar, rationale(s) will be used to justify mass surveillance everywhere...
People used to understand and pay at least some attention to George Orwell's messages...back when we had a halfway decent education system...
