Surely, if we can run a poster for being antisemitic encouraging this is equally egregious!
"No Different Than Math
Children as young as preschool age not only comprehend, but can openly discuss subjects as varied as gender diversity, gender nonconformity and gender-based oppression, making it the ideal time to begin creating a foundation for lifelong sexual health."
Link: Tell me this is ok....
First it was mis-characterized as "Don't Say Gay!", leading many to confusion about the actual law.
Then it was "It's a solution seeking a problem." Of course no one would teach sex ed to K-3.
Now it's "The Netherlands is doing it and look at this kook study."
I don't know if people like Tyrone really think this is a good idea, or if it's just blind political loyalty to the cause.
for quite some time...that is how we come to know about what's happening in places like the Netherlands...and most importantly, the RESULTS they produce. Frankly, I too was surprised to know that the Dutch begin educating their kids on sexuality at the 4 year old level...obviously, they know how to do this well, so I'm very open to doing similar programs here.
We can all continue to learn...wouldn't you agree with that?
Clearly not what's going on.

I am a strong lean that "blind political loyalty" is behind it.

simple as that...I thought i've made that clear...it's my honest opinion, with ZERO political content...not too sure about your approach, however ;-).
down any further discussion on this issue...just a few inane jokes in response...
All those in opposition to intelligently prepared curricula (as done in several countries) are willfully blinding themselves to reality and as a result are absolutely causing harm to our children who will soon be able to become parents themselves...the data is clear on this...
And, as regards LGBTQ issues, children properly taught early on will grow up to understand the real world around them and be much less likely to cause harm to each other over such topics...in other words, they'll be well adjusted and well informed, adults.
Especially children. I'll bet Fr. McGuire would share my concern. I hope people in your parish are warned about you.
other countries...especially the Netherlands...there are laws now in place that mandate the teaching of Sexuality to school aged children...even down to the Pre-School, 4 yr old level. Of course, they are not showing porn videos to those kids...the material is carefully prepared for each age group...and they've been doing this for over 30 years...the result?...among the lowest levels of teen pregnancies in all of Europe, which clearly demonstrates the "Maturity" of their youngsters when it comes to all things "Sexual"...which should be the goal of all parents...don't you think.
What have you to say about this?
group to shout down anything at any time because it doesn't harmonize with their narration.

You are a false teacher. And there is special judgement for those who harm children.
about the Netherlands teaching "Sexuality" to 4 yr olds and up...and getting such low teen pregnancy results?...btw, they're not the only ones doing this, with comparable results...this is excellent news...why don't you want to talk about it?
But why would I care for the words of man? I see my 5-year-old daughter and am filled equally with rage and horror that people like you seek to sexualize her. Especially someone who claims to be a Notre Dame Man. And you have zero visibility to what's being shown to these kids - porn, the mechanisms of anal sex, cross dressing, gender fluidity, 27 genders and your favorite puppy fetishism and the like. So don't speak as if you're some authority. You've likely not even read the Parents Rights Bill in FLA. If you did and still call it the Don't say Gay bill, you're a bigger liar than we already know. It seeks to protect kids from predators. You're showing yourself to be on that side. People need to be warned about you. St Simon's Parish correct? Those people need to be on the look out!
The thief comes to lie and steal and destroy.
manner...my concern is that you've dug such a deep hole for yourself it's probably not going to happen...too bad.
btw, I'll never ignore you, and will respond when progress seems possible.
When one defends oneself and one's position, you immediately assume the person is angry or irrational. Trust me, I am neither. And I appreciate your concern with regard to the hole I've apparently dug (again with the drama, whatever it means. But again, I know you people have a flair for such).
Your beliefs and opinions are odious and repellant. That you continue to carve out such positions makes me truly feel sorrow for you. I feel you are of unsound mind, and I pray for the safety of those in your sphere of influence, especially kids. But my judgement is not something you should be worried about. I pray you come to seek forgiveness.
Seeing I call you out on your Rage machine a total of two or three times, you must be the irrational one.
2 or 3 times? Shall I run a quick search of your posts with the word "rage" in it directed at others? Do you want to relive your humiliation regarding the sharpie episode?
Or shall I spare your blushes?
Edit: My heavens! It's worse than I thought. 5 pages worth! I'll not rinse you again today. I'm feeling charitable towards you.
Edit 2: Nothing then? Good boy. Wise decision. Nevertheless, I'll tuck this one away for the future use should it become necessary.

It’s a contagion and there is no need to discuss any of this with kids below 5th grade.
If you can, put your kids and grandkids in Catholic school.

That is, should it be unlawful for a parent to possess or consume alcohol, cigarettes, marijuana, etc in the presence of children under age 12?
Because it might “groom” the impressionable darlings to become alcoholics or chain smokers or potheads?
Can we ban cartoons and video games that contain any degree of violence?
Can Governor DeSantis pass legislation in Florida that prohibits parents from watching tv shows or movies at home that contain sex or violence, if K-3 students are present in the household (even if asleep)?
How about firearms? Should it be unlawful to possess firearms (even in a gun case) if there are any children in the house? We don’t want the impressionable darlings to be exposed to firearms before they are ready, correct?

Parents should not be exposing their kids to many of the things you just listed. Parents also shouldn't be teaching their kids at home that any other races/cultures/religions are inherently evil or inferior.
But the citizens aren't paying those parents to do those things.
then note the results for teenage pregnancies, abortions, births and miscarriages...signs of "Maturity"...or lack thereof...for the Netherlands...and the U.S. (see linked Guttmacher data)...
--------------------------------
"The Netherlands
In the light of the report "Sexuality Education in Europe", sexuality education in the Netherlands began to be developed in the 1960s as a part of a pragmatic approach to sexual health with contraception and abortion.
In the 1970s and 1980s, the population was supportive of measures introducing sexuality education and the country succeeded in having the lowest teenage pregnancy rate in Europe. As a matter of fact, measures have been taken to fight against HIV/AIDS and to promote good sexuality education by including it in the Policies for Sexuality Education in the European Union
school curricula. At the end of 1980s, HIV/AIDS prevention was taught in 85% of the Dutch secondary schools.
Nevertheless, it seems that the acceptance of sexuality education is mixed across the country. Measures concerning sexuality education face local opposition in the centre of the country and in rural areas52.
Yet, the Netherlands still seem to be a good example in Europe concerning sexuality education. A recent study showed that 97.0 percent of 15-year-old Dutch girls and 92.4 percent of 15-year-old boys declared using contraception53.
The report 'Cost and Cost-effectiveness Analysis of School-Based Sexuality Education Programmes in Six Countries' issued by the UNESCO, informs that in the Netherlands, the current sexuality education curricula began in 1990 with two programmes: R&S (Relationships and Sexuality) for primary schools and LLL (Long Live Love) for secondary schools, still in force today54.
According to this report, the R&S curriculum was created in 1990 and targets pupils AGED FROM 4 to 12. This programme includes 49 lessons which can be chosen by the teacher. The contents of R&S are: knowing the human body, the image of yourself and others, nudity, differences between boys and girls and friendship. For pupils aged from 10 to 12, the contents are: changes during puberty, friendships and love, contraception and resisting unwanted peer pressure.
For each grade, 6 to 7 lessons of sexuality education are taught and when they enter secondary school, pupils are supposed to have followed 50 hours of sexuality education during their previous schooling. A study from 2010 states that almost 10% of primary schools (about 350 schools and 70 000 pupils) are benefitting from this programme and more and more schools are adopting it. "
-------------------
Basically, if we don't adopt similar programs, like the Dutch have, we are ENDANGERING OUR CHILDREN...the evidence is clear...and it's repeated in other countries as well....everyone needs to face facts and let go of unwarranted emotions.

Only conclusion a logical person could draw.
"Sexuality" that is 'Age Appropriate' works...the Netherlands has been doing it for over 30 years...it's time for the USA to "Grow Up".
That, of course, is the problem.
successfully developing such curricula for over 30 years....I'm sure if we put our minds to it, we can do as well as they are...make any sense to you?
Florida decided it shall not be taught K-3, good for them, right? California can go the other way and provide kindergartners with 52 different gendered action figures to play with, whatever, right?
that is if you are truly leaning "even more local".
If you can bring yourself to it, reflect again on the actual results of 30+ years teaching children 4 years and older about human sexuality...in age appropriate manner...in the Netherlands....shouldn't local school boards be able to adopt such programs and then perhaps share their own knowledge and results with others?
Also, look again at the U.S. results for teenage pregnancies...we're the worst of the lot...that must change...the 'status quo' isn't working.
There could be hundreds or thousands of factors that influence "teenage pregnancies, abortions, births and miscarriages" on the aggregate. Common sense would tell me that it's highly doubtful that teaching gender stuff to kindergartners would move the needle much if at all. Really not sure why you are hyper-focused on this. Is it the lead topic on Maddow every night?
correlation between early Sexuality education and excellent results (re: teen pregnancies)...among several countries, not just the one I highlighted. Given the dismal results here in the U.S., it makes "Common Sense" to me that change is needed on that score and since others have consistently performed well over 30+ years, we should not reject such an approach out of hand.
We haven't even talked much about the benefits of such programs on "De-fusing" the animated debate over LGBTQ issue, which I believe is essential to reducing the incidence of suicides and other mental distress for fellow citizens dealing with those circumstances....based on some of your earlier posts, certainly you have some degree of empathy for that objective...true?
As far as my being "Hyper Focused"...I'm just sharing my views on the OP of someone who is truly "Hyper" when it comes to this issue...just look at the myriad posts of those who won't even look at real world data that runs contrary to their unsubstantiated opinions...also, and perhaps more importantly, I'm concerned that a potential Presidential candidate...Ron DeSantis...is taking ever increasing "Hyper" steps to inflame the electorate over something can and should be left to local school boards to consider...that is, to say the least, bothersome. Obviously, I disagree strongly with him and therefore I speak out in opposition...with hopefully reasoned arguments.
Upon your return the topic boils over again. Perhaps it is you that is hyper focused. Unwilling to let differences of opinion stand. Yet time after time you stake out the most leftist position and argue you it defiantly.
a) even 4 year olds and up were being taught about Sexuality, and b) the health and societal benefits in countries that employed such programs were outstanding (i.e. very low teen pregnancy rates) as compared to the U.S. (STD rates as well).
You have provided NOTHING of substance to support your OPINION that such instruction is wrong...I"m asking you here to do some work and provide substance that justifies that position...otherwise, you're just someone with an uninformed opinion who happens to be fearful, for some unknown reason...actually, that might not be a bad place to start...what data do you have that stokes your fears?
(no message)
(no message)
EXCELLENT results...as compared with the U.S. at this point in time...just one valid measure is STD rates...we're one of the worst countries for that, while places like Finland, Sweden, Netherlands are among the very best in this regard...it shows a well educated and balanced population when it comes to understanding "Human Sexuality"...AND behaving appropriately...something EVERY PARENT should be seeking for their kids.
Stop sticking your head in the sand...
Then we won’t be victimized as much. Or how about this, just teach kids to be nice to everyone.

We all need our mother's love to develop self esteem... BUT we also need to separate from her, which requires a relationship with a father
Without a mother's love or without a relationship with our father we suffer a developmental arrest.
This trauma is repressed and is manifest in adulthood in the form of myriad mental disturbances, including especially the whole spectrum of dysfunctional sexuality.

qualify for such an endeavor, the fact that the official stance of the Catholic Church opposes Contraception makes it a show stopper. Without contraception we will continue to have unwanted pregnancies and therefore more abortions...sad but true.

This isn’t even being taught. That is was just right wing talking points? We may also need to get a copy of the GenderBread man to review.
Actively advocating harming children isn't ok. He threatened to warn a state medical board because of opinions on masks for fuck sake! Now he's posting tutorials on how to hurt kids.
an adult fashion...READ THE LINKED ARTICLE...you'll find a range of approaches, however, I doubt it's a coincidence, but the countries that start sex/sexuality instruction in the K-3 age group have the lowest STD rates in the entire world...and, btw, the U.S. right now is among those countries with the WORST statistics...them's the facts, folks...
There are ways to do this....there is NO BENEFIT to not doing this instruction....it takes careful planning, but since so many other countries have been doing it for DECADES...with obviously positive results...we can learn from them...after all, sexuality is the same for all of our species.tw
CON
Just stop with the hair-pulling and outrage...grow up...and especially stop the politicization of this topic (that means you, Baron)...
btw, it bears repeating...homosexuality, etc. is NOT CONTAGIOUS...which is kind of amazing when you think about it...the people who are 'unconcerned' about a REAL contagion, freak out about something that ISN'T...unbelievable.
