Sad. Porsche is doing the same - Though many like that deep guttural babble of high
performance engines (I can do without the noise) I do like the sound of petrol fueled engines. I do not like the high-pitched whine
of some of the electric cars.
Anyway, sad day - getting off the fossil fuel train has its drawbacks.
I'll never forget the long-ago day when I listened to CanAm racers' engines revving down as fast as
they revved up...unbelievable, guttural reaction to sounds that conveyed the sense of "Power".

After all, driving is not a right. And, I could see turning off people's engines if those people are deemed unsavory to the ruling party...I could see that happening on an action against the property (like asset forfeiture) instead of an action against the person, such that no trial would be required. Who could argue against such a reasonable restriction?
