Most of the world’s commerce is measure in US dollars. It’s the World’s most stable currency. Why? Because of the power our country projects. We are the biggest kid in the sandbox. Russia with all their nuclear rockets will not. China with all their people and commerce will not because they are communists. And the EU can’t get its act together since they remain divided due to culture and other historical collateral damage.
So those that tell you the US dollar will fail and some crypto currency will take over are full of shit. If the dollar fails the world will fail. Period.
By freezing Russia’s foreign reserves in central bank of US, the US told the world that any country's access to their reserve holdings in dollars depends on politics, depends on their foreign policy. If US are not happy with their politics, their foreign policy, US can take away their money. Powerful? Yes. Trustful? Not anymore.
I can tell you now countries will consider their foreign currency reserves in light of their foreign policy. India will do it because their going to war with Pakistan is possible. China will certainly do it with regard to their Taiwan politicy.
We are linking the politics to central bank. This is very harmful to dollar as reserve currency in term of trust.
This is just one of flaws from your post. There are more.
may not like the US using the dollar as a weapon but use what’s in your arsenal until it’s no longer a weapon. Tell me where the new currency weapon is coming from.
He’s a Putin sycophant. The dude praises the killing of innocent men, women, and children. He’s a treasonous piece of dog shit.
And you’re right about the dollar.
currency as reserve. They will diversify. Dollar as reserve will shrink as a result but will stay #1. But this will be bad enough to US.

won't be replaced overnight. Using the dollar status achieved from past to hide failure of today's policy is misleading. More importantly, as I said countries don't want to have only one currency to depend on as reserve. Dollar as #1 currency reserve may continue. But dollar hegemony may end soon.

I'm not saying anything is imminent, but the only thing we can be sure of is that America will not be the top dog forever. And anyone who says that the US dollar will last forever is full of shit.
China and Russia and others are building a financial regime the US cannot control. And the more the US weaponizes its financial system, the more other nations will look for other options. Is the digital yuan the answer? No. But it, and the digital pound, and other systems, might provide a way for nations to diversify against the risk of becoming a target of the United States.
a socialist or communist regime we are all done. No free democracy will ever peg their future to such a financial structure unless forced to. So we are the only option until we are not. I’ll be dead by then but worry about my children and future grandchildren.
Unless crypto currencies can develop a transparent system to determine valuation on their basis they will fail. Currencies are based on the goods and services resulting in production of a free economy that can be measured. Everything else is bullshit.
Also, free democracies tend to destroy themselves once the electorate realizes that they can vote themselves money. I would say that our electorate has realized that. And, we have leaders who are willing to leverage that for their temporary gain, and they are calling for "increased democracy," by which they actually mean increased socialism, because they know the electorate will vote themselves other people's money. And, the checks of Federalism have diminished sufficiently that the electorate might succeed (and we have leaders who want to destroy the checks and balance that Federalism provides...eliminate the un-democratic Electoral College!...stack SCOTUS...eliminate the undemocratic filibuster, and next the undemocratic Senate).
We can discuss when the dollar will collapse, but there is no reasonable discussion that it will not. It obviously will. So, I wouldn't get all high and mighty disparaging people who say what is obviously true.
And, if you are one of those people who thinks the US government is building a ponzi scheme of sorts by spending more than it takes in year after year after year (borrowing from future generations to buy caviar now...taking out credit cards to pay the mortgage), you might think that the collapse will come sooner rather than later, and you might want to have some wealth held in a non-USD form.
Notably, we can't predict when it will happen. I actually think the people running the Fed are pretty smart, and I think they are highly motivated to keep the ponzi scheme running as long as they can so it collapses on their children's watch, not theirs...and I think they will dream up crazier and crazier ways to kick the can down the road...until they can't. It will happen fast when it happens. And very smart people will not have seen it coming...while people with common sense will have recognized that whenever it happens, it was always inevitable.
certainty won’t be the Yuan under communist rule. In fact China becoming a democracy is the only real threat to the US dollar. As I see it.
