Video of Trump reaching for the steering wheel?
Not sure I see it.
But those SS men need to be out under oath.
None of it detracts from her testimony.

Ms. Hutchinson was asked by Tony Ornato to come into his office...he shut the door, then
immediately started relating to her the account of a very unusual occurrence, involving Rob Engel...also in the room... that had just happened in Trump's vehicle (the "SUV") on its return to the White House...
If nothing 'untoward' had happened, why would Ornato do this?...You can bet your bottom dollar that what happened was not materially different from her testimony.
Now back to the fact that Donald Trump desperately wanted to lead the throng headed to the Capitol...regardless of the fact that many had AR-15s, Glocks, etc....for the clear purpose of obstructing the Constitutional transition of power...
That's the story...not whether or not Trump's arm was grabbed

Level 2
Ty, I am not going to bet my bottom dollar on her testimony although if the committee doesn't allow
Tony Ornato and Bobby Engel to testify live then Ms. Hutchinson's testimony will remain intact and unchallenged. You can believe her then, but I watched her and I saw a witness over coached and consequently unable to keep things in order.
If I had the opportunity to cross-examine her, the first question would be:
How many times did you meet with someone representing the committee? She is a female interpretation of Kato Kaelin.
No more calls to Holly for kitchen clean-up. RIP old faithful companion.-
Level 3
Do you disagree with the logic of the occurrence?...I mean she was asked to enter Ornato's office
and all they talked about was a very unusual incident involving Trump, Engel and the SUV coming back to the WH...only someone like Trump would make up that kind of 'Whopper' and think they could peddle it to the whole world.
C'mon, JH, you can't believe that her account is materially different from what happened.

So if the democrats are so confident why don’t they just charge him? Do they really
need this circus ? I hope they do because that I would watch. It’s a different ball game when you’re under cross examination. This is nothing but a one sided horse and pony show.
-
Level 5
Yes. That is what they want. The circus. None of this is real.

Judging from the ovations Liz Cheney got last night from fellow Republicans, it's a majority of
Americans that want Trump charged...we'll all just have to be patient as the wheels of Justice turn.

I heard Trump paid the Davy Crockett/Chewabacca looking guy
$ 10,000 to lead the charge. Adam Schiff has personally seen the evidence.

That would satisfy the NBA indisputable video evidence rule, sadly.

Four blurry pictures. You might want to ask the counselor on here about a witness lying. The rule
of thumb is they pretty much have no credibility. Let the secret service testify and embarrass her and the committee.
-
Level 2
They've been asked to testify.

No, not by the committee. Tony Omato met with the committee once in Jan and once in Mar.
Now Messrs Tony Omato and Bobby Engel have said they will appear live if asked. I suspect that is the last thing the committee wants.

Wrong, Cheney stated that the SS declined their offer to be deposed. This all before Hutchinson was
jimbasil55164 postsquestioned at the hearing the other day.
The SS new this was likely going to be talked about on Tuesday.
Sorry, but Cheney has already stated on national TV the SS were asked to make a statement to the investigators.

jimbasil55164 postsYa'll are looking for something that will be an Ahah gotcha moment.

Level 7
Actually, no. You're saying one thing, Jar another. He said/she said. As for the "gotcha moment"...
...that happened immediately after the Secret Service said the incident in question did not happen in the manner Ms. Hutchinson described. As Jar noted the agents in question have likely already been deposed by the committee and no further testimony will be sought and their testimony will not be aired. In all probability it would be damaging to the witness's testimony. This will allow the audience (minimal as it might be) to draw their own conclusions as the testimony will not be refuted publicly. Which is precisely what the committee intended.
As you've rightly noted a number of times, this is not a court of law, and the standards are vastly different. People can therefore be rightly skeptical of any of the "testimony" that comes out of it. This is a partisan committee that is not throwing straight dice. I know you feel differently.
