We humans are higher primates who always always always fought other tribes for territory since the day we descended fom the canopy.

Appeasement is the strategerie of the delusional and the cowardly.

It's is perfectly ftriing that we keep this in mind on the 4th.

Putin is really just another Hitler.

Our pathetic and insipid policies only encouraged him.

He is our own damn fault.

decade on average. Now I see why. Because so many Americans buy this propaganda. This is also the reason why neocon probably will never disappear unless we are not #1 one day and the arrogance that accuses anyone who has different value as Hitler is brought down.

Appeasement of those who invade neighbors and kills them indiscriminately is not a value.

NATO did not invade any of those countries but was invited by those afraid of Putin.

Did you ever consider why they left the Soviet Union that Putin would like to restore.

Not true. Nato invade Serbia! (And Libya). Looks like we are not living in same world.

We can not have a candid talk about this issue. My view is based on reality, what have happened. Your view is based on abstract principle and then you tried to find facts to fit your principle. But you missed a lot of facts. The biggest fact is a so-called defense military alliance made so much eastern expansion after cold war ended The temporary balance of power (1991 -1999) of post cold-war was destroyed by neo con/neo lib.

What I don't understand is you know the Cuba missile crisis and 60 years' blockade of Cuba ports even since. (I fully support U.S' stand toward Cuba. I also fully support spirit of Monroe doctrine, i.e. latin America is special to U.S. a backyard of U.S.) Why is it so hard for you to understand when the shoes on others' feet? i.e. on Russia's feet?

Teasing a NATO alliance on R's doorstep seems to have been a mistake.

And the same goes for the Baltic States and the Poles and all the other former Warsaw Pact States, including East Germany. Why stop there? Alaska was once owned by Russia.

By the time we went to war, it was justified...but we did poke the Germans to get to that point, which is why I don't get why we are poking the Russians. We could be quietly supplying them with arms without making a public news story out of it every day, and calling for a war crimes trial for Putin.

Evil preaches tolerance until it is dominant, then it tries to silence good.
