Those hoping and praying for recession for political purposes

Let's try and gain some perspective here. In 2021 the quarterly GDP rates were 6.3%, 6.7%, 2.3% and 6.9%. So far in 2022 the economy has retracted -1.6%. So based on what we went through in 2019 & 2020 if we retract just a little bit after substantial growth do we really need to chicken little "the sky is falling"?

You have the TNIRISH, Eli's, Frankx, Baron's, Musky's, ragingdads, all willing to believe the spin and then pass it on as gospel.

How often do you read the polar opposite of facts and issues being repeated here, dubbed "real news"?

Here's Kinzinger having to live the Republican life knowing this is the path R's are on.

Too much government created money in the system and a deliberate policy of increasing energy costs means what happens?

It's sad that we failed to learn this in the 1970s after LBJ splurged on Viet Nam and his Great Socierty fiasco,

he knew the truth all along...don't deny it...so how do you explain all that transpired from his mouth after that?...the MALIGNANT narcissist caused hundreds of thousands of Americans to die from the disease by misinforming them instead of telling them the truth...all so that, in his twisted psyche, he wouldn't have a contracted economy leading up to the election.

You have your own twisted psyche, Baron, that filters out any objective truths...even when they're staring you in the face...like the Woodward tapes.

That we should continue on with our normal activities?

I also have another comment about the vaccines. It appears we were all duped. You continue to say that they work. Fine. Let me ask you this. Do you really think our experts are going to admit they don't work and are in fact harmful if that is really the case? Of course not.

constantly, and unequivocally, advocate for the use of vaccines...for his part, Biden has done all that anyone could ask for when it comes to promoting vaccinations...AND...making sure they were available to all...even in the most remote parts of the country...and boosters as well.

You can spin and justify all you'd like but the bottom line is they cast just as much doubt on the vaccine as the evil orange. All for political purposes.

Anyway. This is getting away from Barons point. People rooting for a recession are doing exactly what dems did rooting for Covid against Trump. Lack of self awareness prevents you from seeing this.

Have you found a proper church yet? Please read your Bible and turn from your sin.

Many of his cult followers on this Board bought (and still buy) his falsehoods.

The pandemic should have united the nation. Trump used it as a culture wedge.

Trump's mismanagement of the pandemic exposed his unfitness for office. Hence, an all time record -- 81 million Americans -- voted his ass out of office.

Dems secretly, and some times not so secretly, greeted the onset of Covid as a potential game changer in the nonstop war on the previous administration.

Now not all democrats felt this way surely. But I'm confident a fair number were thrilled.

At least when they went back with masks. And most evenings we had family dinners together. Although football practice was the great interrupter.

Could have done without all the dead people. Even if that meant the defeat of a political opponent.
