In June, the World Health Organization recommended that scientists continue to research all possible origins of the Covid-19 pandemic, including a lab leak. Two newly published studies take totally different approaches but arrive at the same conclusion: The Huanan Seafood Market in Wuhan, China, was most likely the epicenter for the coronavirus.
The studies were posted online as preprints in February but have now undergone peer review and were published Tuesday in the journal Science.

I'm under no illusions that everyone is going to agree with this report...but the studies have been put through the 'Peer Review' process, so that's a good thing and adds a significant degree of 'credence.

The lab that just HAPPENED to be in Wuhan where the virus just HAPPENED to originate and just HAPPENED to be working on the exact same viruses is really not responsible.

The original "SARS-CoV-1" resulted from a zoonotic transfer in another province of China...why
do you say SARS-CoV-2 could not happen in Wuhan?...feel free to provide evidence that the two studies are wrong...seek the truth...don't just stop at suspicion and innuendo.

I agree with you that we should find the source, but past explorations into it have received a heavy dose of, doesn't matter, meh or 'who cares'. And from the lines of CDC and WHO.

Guesses:
1) Lab leak makes Fauci look bad because he likely funded some of the research.
2) Lab leak makes his ideological champions in the CCP look bad.
3) Lab leak makes Trump’s assertions about Chinese duplicity more credible. Anything that makes Trump look better is absolutely awful.

My question to these researchers of this study, did anyone of them visit Wu Han? I am quite 100% sure that none of them did. Why?
Because WIV (Wu Han Institute of Virology) is pretty close to Hua Nan seafood market, just a few km nearby. Any spatial pattern study, if pointing to the seafood market as the source of original coronavirus, should also point to WIV. Please read the figure 1 of their study to get my point.
