linked article that describes the CDC's immediate advisory to the LGBTQ community regarding Monkeypox...btw, the breakout of that disease was first noted elsewhere in the world in early May.
Once again, Monkeypox is not a STD...anyone can get it...stigmatizing the disease as 'only for gays' is medically counterproductive...something that Saagar failed to mention.

If you don't even admit it's a sexually transmitted disease and you don't even suggest a reduction of sexual partners, this baby step, (here we are not asking for banning sex or cancelling large pride festivals), how can you stop or slow down the spread of the disease? This brought us to today's situation.
BTW, all women patients of monkeypox, even very few, are infected by bisexual men. Bisexual men need to be restricted by CDC to male sexual partners only for now.

While everyone in the IDSA, CDC and WHO is well aware that the large majority of people infected with Monkeypox are gay men, they are also aware that the disease can spread - albeit with more difficulty - through means other than gay sex...fortunately, the transmission rate is not at all as high as COVID-19, but given the long infectious period for the disease there will be opportunities for many thousands of non-gay cases.
Nothing I've posted has been "debunked"...let me know if you disagree, but be specific and I'll be pleased to respond.

One more time...the CDC released an advisory to the LGBTQ community in the same month the disease was found to be spreading elsewhere in the world...and...they warned everyone else of the danger at the same time...try expanding your sources of information.

I hope you're not suggesting that there is no need for "straight" people to be concerned about
Monkeypox...because that is definitely not what the WHO is saying...or what I'm trying to communicate. What they have said...and what I posted...is that the high level of Gay infections could possibly be a "Harbinger" of a much broader epidemic of Monkeypox.
I'll also repeat for Eli's benefit...Monkeypox is NOT an STI.

The discrepancy in response to COVID and monkeypox is so damn different.
What is important to them: LGBTQ, defunding police rally by BLM, street riot, burned building.
What's not important to them: destroyed families, children, the middle class, small business, church and our savings.
