Biden administration goes from strength to strength.

Not satisfied with 2021’s record haul of illegals at the southern border, the administration has already shattered that record so far in fiscal 2022. Everything from here on out is gravy. It’s going to be tough to top that in 2023, but I love border-czar Kamala’s can-do attitude. So, we’ll see!

Here's another somewhat dated (1997) paper from the St. Louis FED, but nonetheless still relevant.

You could say the record increase in potential workers is just what we need (see link)

think about it.

As for those who aren't arrested...e.g. smuggled in semi trailers...that's a more serious problem on multiple levels that even the previous administration did very little, if anything, about.

Then there's the issue of "Why" this surge is happening...understanding that and doing something about it would make perfect sense...yet another example of the previous administration not even addressing it...while this admin is reaching out to the nations that are the prime sources of emigration toward the U.S..

Fingers crossed that any others on this thread read the attached article...given the "threat" it poses to their preconceived notions.

Thanks. Was sitting here wondering how a Soros-funded Progressive think tank would weigh in on this?

But that would show everyone what a total moron and political hack you are.

Your first error, Tyrone, is calling that a "paper". It's not a "paper". It's an opinion piece.

Many "papers" have footnotes. Not everything with a "footnote is a "paper". Geddit?

Now that's really weak...even for you...it's an admittedly liberal perspective, but would you

discard an 'opinion piece' so readily from the Hoover or CATO Institutes....and how about the St. Louis FED "Paper"...I defy you to categorize that as anything but bi-partisan.

This issue that both publications bring up is a credible one...do yourself a favor and read both of them...and start treating contentious issues with intellect and not emotions.

I would never call something from Cato a "paper".

Because that would be wrong.

Are you arguing that the administration's seemingly hapless failure to formulate any kind of border policy or procedures is actually a cunningly crafted and hidden plan to secure lower wages for unskilled labor? All this criminal ineptness is actually the result of a secret master plan. I don't know, Ty. Seems a little far-fetched. Even for you.

stopped and/or arrested...poorly constructed barriers are being repaired...much needed focus is being placed on trafficking of illegal aliens (wasn't even mentioned during Trump's Border Wall myopia)...AND...serious efforts are being extended toward reducing the "Causes" of immigration surges...

These efforts are hardly deserving of a "Hapless" label, unless you were thinking of the previous administration harping on a "Solution" that even it's own party would not support, while doing absolutely nothing to raise awareness of cartel smuggling of truly illegal immigration, or addressing the root causes.

Oh, and that "secret plan" involves scores of industries that hire such immigrants (including Trump's hotels and golf courses)...must be good for business...don't you think?

Start using your intellect and not your gut feelings.
