This is, unfortunately, become very typical with hot button political issues in medicine these days. The University of Washington was aware of the false claims regarding the “study”, as well as its questionable credibility as well….yet they said nothing.

Here is a more detailed take down. 2 students designed a poor study and claimed opposite results…..
…….how this would ever, ever get published is very telling as well. It served a narrative for the Left media. And they knew only some would learn it was false, and it would be after the push to their cause was achieved.
This study was terrible. Even so, they actually found that their treatments didn’t help whatsoever, but the. Claimed that they did.

They used to make you wear opposite sex clothes for 2 years before castration. Now it's done after a
2 hour eval by a team associated with the doctor profiting from the surgery.
Our medical profession is gruesome.
And everyone laughed at Freud’s theory of castration anxiety.

Conclusions
Our study provides quantitative evidence that access to PBs or GAHs in a multidisciplinary gender-affirming setting was associated with mental health improvements among TNB youths over a relatively short time frame of 1 year. The associations with the highest aORs were with decreased suicidality, which is important given the mental health disparities experienced by this population, particularly the high levels of self-harm and suicide. Our findings have important policy implications, suggesting that the recent wave of legislation restricting access to gender-affirming care19 may have significant negative outcomes in the well-being of TNB youths.20 Beyond the need to address antitransgender legislation, there is an additional need for medical systems and insurance providers to decrease barriers and expand access to gender-affirming care.
