Oh, Ye of little faith...the short answer is a three-letter word..."YES" we'll have enough Lithium
for batteries (see link), and with small modular nuclear reactors coming on-line in the early 2030's, we won't have to use FFs to provide the processing power...
As for charging stations, there was a time when we had no "Gasoline" stations...yet here we are...the changeover will take some time, but will happen in the timeframe mentioned +/- a couple of years.
Note: We'll likely need to save some Lithium for Deuterium/Tritium (DT) Nuclear Fusion Reactors later this century.

So, we will never run out of lithium just like we will never run out of oil? That is good news.
How much will strip mining have to increase when the entire world is using EVs? Is that better than pumping oil from the ground?
By the way, I don't think your article says we will have enough lithium for the entire world to be on EVs, but I did only skim it, so if you can point me to where it says that (and just not to where it says we will have enough in 2030), that would be great.
What about lithium extraction pollution?
These are actually honest questions. I am wondering if we are just moving from one type of pollution to another. And, I have to say, I don't trust the climate folks on their data. They have shown themselves to be unreliable.

Think about this...Lithium is relatively cheap right now, but those Lithium-Ion batteries can be
recycled (see link) once their usage becomes widespread...never mind the significant resources of Lithium to begin with...so, yes, we can have as much as we need long into the future.
Once you burn the Fossil Fuels, you're DONE with them...except for the CO2 that accumulates in the atmosphere...and have thrown away the potential for 'Recycling' them for their other unique uses (e.g. Plastics) that are so valuable today...and in the future.
Why on earth do you want to consume FFs when there are other technologies (Nuclear, Solar, Wind, Hydroelectric) that can provide Heat and Power?...makes no sense to me, or the leaders of 193 countries, plus the EU...maybe you have a convincing argument...let's hear it.

The entire system needs an overhaul.
And by system I mean our electric grids, our transportation infrastructure and a comprehensive energy plan.
What we have is conservative fossils pushing fossils and liberal fossils pushing EVs without consideration of how to charge them at scale and where that power comes from. Neither has a solution that will work in the future presently.
Either EVs or horses are the future.
