Is there a rule or statute that stipulates that the receiving state must indeed process all these people? If the courts are at capacity? The holding centers full? Attorneys unable to effectively assure them their due process? They must remain in Texas or Arizona anyway? At the great expense and burden of those states? They cannot be safely and adequately transferred to other jurisdictions with similarly adequate Federal facilities to process all these freedom seekers?

And those states with democratic voters have overwhelming encouraged illegal immigration by designating "sanctuary cities" within their borders. Doesn't it make sense that DeSantis and Abbott would look to those states/cities first in lightening said burden? That's what I'd do. Send them where they are wanted with folks who can process them. Most didn't come from Mexico, and they cannot seek asylum in the United States. They are supposed to seek it in the first country in which they arrive.

And the whole "asylum" thing is pretty much a fantasy. Let's assume that some are seeking legitimate asylum from Mexico. What is going on there that would support their case. Do you know of anything? Note that "looking for a job" or even "looking for a better life" is not a legitimate basis for asylum to be granted. Statistically speaking, 99.99% of them are not seeking legitimate asylum. They are trying to use asylum rules to gain entry, then get released, and be here illegally. And, the Dems support that...but not in their own backyards, which is really quite revealing and embarrassing for your side.

DO you deny that the Dems are encouraging the trafficking of humans across Mexico by the cartels? If you do, then your perception of reality is...flawed.

do the right thing, they should just have their staffs call every other state and make a spreadsheet of states, counties and cities that make the most sense for the various asylum seeking individuals and families, then arrange dates, and transport details with them, with accommodations, food, medical care, etc. pre-planned...sort of what the Red Cross does...with a true humanitarian attitude.

There should be no need for all of those people to stay in TX, or AZ...or somehow, FLA...just make sure they can easily be contacted and get to their court hearing, which also needs coordination with Immigration Services...just stop using these already distraught immigrants as pawns in their political campaigns.

And therefore you have no issue sending them to a welcoming state.
