Settle down genius. Carolina's defense is bad. 121st bad. Fact.
A decent offense should not struggle against a bad defense. Also, the Irish defense had some stupid lapses but they held Carolina below their average in scoring and yards. Defense. I'm going to go out on a limb and say it was a team effort and a team win.
