Again, this was a winnable game. 3 different chances to take the lead late in the game and the offense collapsed. Goodwin is legit and Mooney is just good every game. With the lack of depth it will be very difficult to have a winning record.

They're talented and young.

Be patient. This team is a tourney team in '19 and '20. They are getting better and will only continue to improve. They aren't bad, they're just green.

Mooney and Gibbs are seniors next year.

Not getting a big man and a point guard in the 20 class to add depth means this team next year is only slightly better. Gibbs really hasn't been much of the floor leader Brey had expected.

I believe Mooney still has 2 years after this year

I'm pretty sure he redshirted as a freshman.

play, so he should have burned eligibility in 2016.

Talk about poor roster management.

ND played 36 games that year so you are correct. 12 games burns eligibility. I checked a few of the box scores of the ACC games he appeared. A couple of the games were just 1 or 2 minutes. That sucks. It would have been great to have had him for 2 more. What a wast of a year

Yeah. Not good. But, Geben was not good two years ago.

Maybe he wants to get on with his life after four years instead of five

He should have been more cognizant of games played. Especially games where Mooney tallied 1 minute.

This team will be fortunate to make the NIT.

Needed to follow up last year's class with a couple strong athletes in this class. That doesn't look like it will happen.

Hate to see Chris Doherty's redshirt year burned, but in the limited minutes, you could see why the staff really likes him: strong, muscular player who throws his body around and is tough. ND doesn't tend to get many players like that.
