I think UVA and Villanova's back to back national titles prove that ND can do better; these schools
have strong academic requirements and a strong code of discipline too, To me the coaches are clearly the difference, on a different plane than Mike Brey are Tony Bennett and Jay Wright..These coaches have not only won titles, they are in the mix every year, perennial contenders.
AD Swarbrick and co, need to be doing their due diligence, looking for a Bennett or Wright..

If we got the calls Virginia did in our year where we lost to Kentucky we would have won too.
Virginia winning the title was a joke. Funny thing is they were down by 14 in their first game this year and everybody was talking how they under perform all the time.
Cmon now, there are close calls in very game, lets give UVA their due
they persevered thru the tough times, and won the title..While I recall ND football getting ripped off many times, I have no such recollection of the ND-KY basketball game...WE had the opportunity to win it at the end, we didn't plain and simple..
Congratulations to them but there were at least three games they should have lost.

Both are able to recruit guys ND will not touch.
You've probably got 5-10 top 100 recruits year-in-and-year-out whom ND can recruit.
They graduate their players; why wouldnt ND touch them;
What's ND want; only Rhodes scholars, I still say its the respective coaches..
