That's ND basketball in a nutshell this year. Like watching 2 different squads.

Part of the problem is we really are not a good shooting team. Why is it that every other team's
shots are put up with some good normal arc and ours are of the line drive variety or arched way too much. Gibbs and Pflueger put so many line drives up. Goodwin arches but almost too much at times. We are lucky Mooney appears to be hitting his free throws tonight but Goodwin, of all people missed the front end of one and one. We must cover Girardi like a hawk that guy is a legitimate great shooter.
The other continung issue that plagues this team, is the scoring droughts down the stretch,
They take a 70-69 lead, and don't score for over 4minutes THis happens way too often for me to think that coaching, (lack thereof), is not a problem..
The problem is that during those stretches they have good looks, which means to me that the players
just are not that consistent in their shooting skills to avoid those stretches. Plus we do not have any players other than the often careless Hubb, who can beat someone one on one.
