The first half couldn't have gone worse. It's never good when you trail by more points than you scored. Burton continues to show his potential. Keep in mind Marquette will probably be an elite 8 or final 4 team.

The future backcourt of Sir Mohammed and Markus Burton should be really, really good. Fans will love Muhammed next year. He truly is a selfless player with excellent vision and size. ND hasn't had a pass-first player at the point for a long time. Mohammed will fill that role, among others.

Burton is way better than that overrated freshman we had last year who shot the push shot.

We played them even. That's a positive.

That said, MAS is correct. This offense is as bad as anything we've seen. Easy to defend simply passing around the Arc. No cross-court cutting, Very little driving,

Can only go up from here, but could be a while.

Is Shrewsbury that bad a coach? Or just working with what he has?

Coach Shrews is a hard worker ..seems like a guy kids relate to.
Has good resume, coaching under Brad Stevens at Butler and w the Celtics. (Butler went to consecutive NCAA Finals)
Had Penn St near the top of Big Ten in defensive categories. We are already better on D than under Brey.
He's got a good class signed. We need more dudes.

The head-scratcher is our Offensive flow. There is none. No Screens, No movement without the ball. No back-cuts. Not much driving and too much jacking threes w/poor shooters. We may have to bring in an offensive-minded Assistant (thoughts)?

Gonna take time, but I believe he'll be successful. Just doesn't look like it yet.
