Anyone else find men's baskertball boring... especially the NBA?

The women are still interesting because the game is so much harder for them and they amaze us as they improve.

The male physique has overcome the parameters of the game. The can run the court in a few steps, can dunk effortlessly and shoot accutately from just over half court.

Dr. Naismith invented the sport over 100 years ago... when men were much tinier and far less athletic. If he were inventing it today the court would be twice the size and the rim two feet higher.

The talent pool on the women’s is more concentrated.

The WNBA doesn’t allow someone to enter the draft unless they are turning 21 in the draft year or exhausted their eligibility. The women’s teams play together for longer. I would say that makes for a more fundamentally sound game on the women’s side.

I'll watch it casually. Still some great players. But it is a different game.

The traveling and carrying is absurd. Bank shots,12-foot shots, sky hooks, jump hooks, Center fadeaways, finger rolls, are all disappearing. Dunks are frequently uncontested. Too much standing around.

It's not a 5-man game anymore.

The crossover used to be called palming the ball and was a turnover. They also can pivot

360° without traveling called. And then there's the Euro step 1,2,3,4 take 1 more.

How switching a pivot foot is now labeled a good move always amazes me. Palming bad,

yes. How about when they catch the ball they take two steps after the catch, are allowed to dribble and take two to three more later!

The anarchy of the playgrounds keeps invading the game.

Haven't watched the NBA in years. College heading that way. No real interest in the women or WNBA

...except for the outliers. Do enjoy seeing nascent greatness.

Re: Not really. However, in both the NBA & NCAA, if both teams were limited to just 1
