And that is setting a low bar anyway.
The best player for ND was Burton and it isn't even close. In general, with the possible exception of Burton, nobody on this team (outside the freshman class) would even make any team in the Sweet 16. And none would start for any "major" team that made the tournament. Heck, one of the alleged "studs" that followed Shrewsberry from PSU, Booth, rarely saw the floor at Illinois and now is leaving that school.
Davis wasn't stellar at much of anything but played well and hard and he'd be a good guy to have on the team. I suspect his minutes were going to go down with Shrews coming in with a good class and getting the current frosh class more playing time. Chances are a good chunk Davis' minutes will go to Haralson.
I'm not sold on Shrewsberry yet since Brey left the program in deep shit when he left so I think he should get more time. That year's freshman class was the first one he recruited. Brey was a wonderful coach for us but left 2 years too late.

NCAA it is difficult to build a team, a competive one, without extensive use of the portal and serious NIL money. You can see the difference in this years tournament. No major upsets in the first 2 rounds.
Burton doesn't make his teammates better.
A lot of smoke that Burton is ready to bolt as well. What a dumpster fire. I know that Brey left zero talent on the roster. But even with ND's academic hurdles, there is no excuse for this program to be in the shape that it is in with the availability of the Transfer Portal. ND will never be able to pull a Louisville and replace its entire roster on the way to a tournament bid, but there were enough players available in the last two Transfer Portals for there to be more talent on the roster than there currently is.
Swarbrick made two major hires before he retired. One was a grand slam in the bottom of the 9th hire in Freeman. The second appears to be a caught looking for strike three with Shrewsberry.

They can find a better shooter/rrebounder on the portal.
He played 2 years for the Irish after 1 at Seton Hall.

So I guess it’s actually his 4th school in 3 years, since 3 years ago right now he was still in high school.
Since when is anything school related based on the calendar year?
I always delineate "seasons" from "years." Mind-boggling, I know.
