Interesting decision to forego the WNBA and leave ND
I wish her all the success in the world

But it seems like fools gold for the vast majority.
AND... unless the WNBA suddenly becomes wildly successful... it would behoove these young women to get decent degrees from the best schools they can.

I don't know what the dynamics are but Miles, Koval and Risch are now in the portal.
Who knows who is next.
Somebody needs to take a look at the coaching and decide if we need a change. It seems Ivey, who I thought was a good hire at the time, hasn't managed this team very well given how the year ended.
There are men's schools losing all their players to the portal.
IT'S TRENDY.
Men are chasing much bigger upsides in the NBA vs women.
I get there are lots of rational reasons for players going into the portal but it seems to me too many are chasing rainbows because it is easy and staying is harder. Unfortunately, as many find out, the grass isn't always greener at the next stop.
I think Koval was looking at big minutes this coming season. Not sure about Risch. Someone noted that our bigs were nonexistent against TCU. Maybe who ever is working with post players needs to be evaluated?

Delay the WNBA until the new cba is signed, and grab as much nil as she can.
Also, transfer to a program that will challenge for a national title.
The guaranteed base salary for the top-four picks in the WNBA is $76,536.
The top-four women’s college basketball players averaged $1.1 million in NIL earnings.

a battle she knows she won't win. she can be the star somewhere else, but not at n.d. as long as hannah is healthy. besides, she lost her shooting eye somewhere along the line and never really get it back.
adios. all the best.

I have no inside knowledge but I would suspect she wants to be a bigger cheese than she would be at UConn since she would end up in the same situation she has at ND just substituting Fudd for Hidalgo.
Some well-informed speculation has he going to TCU who has to replace Van Lith. or USC which needs someone to replace Watkins for 2026.

This is a far more lucrative option than the WNBA. The NIL/Portal era has empowered individual college athletes
