Olivia to TCU and Kate to LSU... gotta be tough to be a coach these days

But who knows who we'll pick up and maybe they will ultimately mesh better than last year's team.

As a selfish geezer I prefer our players be our students not mercenaries.

Olivia's choice makes no academic sense. Must not be a priority for her.

TCU is not in the USNWR Top 100. Looks like they have no masters in Non-Profit Administration.

Curious decision.

It's just about NIL. There is a good chance

she will make more $$ @ TCU than she would being drafted in the WNBA. If that's the case, it makes total sense to me. College sports has been revolutionized and that includes ND.

Does it need to?

She has her ND degree.
1. Do you really believe that one's future avocation never changes. Did yours at that age? Mine did, several times.
2. Her 5-10 year future is in basketball. If she wants to get a higher education in non-profits, the best path is by actually working in one as opposed to chasing a meaningless degree to virtue signal.

Are you saying a Masters from Mendoza is a meaningless degree to virtue signal? I disagree.

An avocation is a hobby or a minor occupation. Did you mean vocation?

You have no way of knowing what Miles might want to do with her future beyond basketball but you rap her because you think you do and feel free to criticize her choices?

You're a smug clown!

As a person who has spent a lifetime in Human Resources and has two degrees from ND (including one from Mendoza) I can accurately say there are very few fields that require a Master's degree to be successful and those are primarily technical ones. Most folks would be better off with real life experience than chasing overpriced, and often needless, degrees.

And yes that applies to degrees from Mendoza. There are probably dozens of places to get a degree that will be just as valuable.

Working in non-profits is pretty weak though, a step below even govt jobs.

Smug is not acknowledging your word error. Obviously one of your ND Degrees was not in English.

Miles said she wanted a Masters in Non-Profit Administration. Her words, not mine. TCU doesn't have that master's degree. That doesn't make academic sense. Just stating a fact.

It's her life. Not yours. Your human resource experience is irrelevant.. Lecture someone else. Try to use the correct words.

You can't make a cogent argument defending your tripe so you fret over word interpretation?

and "It's her life. Not yours." posts someone who criticizes her choices? I didn't' criticize her choices, YOU did.

also "Lecture someone else" posts someone who did exactly that to someone you never met.

Look up the word "hypocrite" and your picture is right next to it.

It was an observation, not an argument.

My observation is perfectly logical. Given her stated academic desires it doesn’t make sense.

I can accept that she changed her mind. As I said it is her life.

I’ll just laugh at a condescending lecture from someone who misuses words.

I wish Olivia well.
