Unbelievable. Refs make the wrong call, change it to the correct one, and then reverse it again.
Can ND leave this conference, already?

I thought it was a bad call in real time, but I also thought our player was late in fouling him.
Got to grab him, imho, as he crosses half court. As he was reaching for him, I was yelling at the TV get away from him, it was too late to grab him at that junction, imho, as the Cal player was ready to launch a shot.
I don’t disagree it was a bad/rough call, but also too close for comfort, imho, as to when it occurred, fair point?
Just my 2 cents, as always I could be wrong.

Oh, no doubt Imes should've fouled him earlier, but the grab was before the Cal players was even
beginning to shoot the ball. Then the refs reacted to a home crowd and home coach and reversed a call to please them. Refs are human and make mistakes, but that's a mistake they cannot make.

I don’t disagree with you, but they should have probably put someone quicker to foul.
And have him aggressively go for the ball as he crosses half court, if the ref swallows the whistle, we might get a steal.
The foul was ticky tack, not forceful enough, imho.

And the announcers, as usual, can't see the obvious. Shrews is feeling the pressure. That could've
been even uglier after the buzzer. He may have to sit out a game.

Shrews lost it
If it wasn't for the team members grabbing him, something really bad was going to happen.

Level 4
This could reach a point where the administration tells him that his health is in jeopardy and he
needs to step away. The guy literally coaches every possession. He already had to be held back earlier in the game from chasing one of the refs. It will eventually affect the players, as it did when the 99-00 team hit the wall with Doherty's tempestuous mood swings. I think Shrews underestimated what it would take to turn around this program.

We’re lucky Kebba is built like defense lineman
He may be on thin ice. Notre Dame has always struck me as a place where coaches need to be of high character because anytime you are out in the world, you represent ND. But it will be interesting to see if Pete lodges a formal complaint. There is admonishing the coach but there is also realizing he was reacting to a ref decision that should not have been made.

It wasn't Kebba. It was Matt McClellan and Tommy Ahneman. Ahneman is the one in street clothes.
Shrews initially went to restrain Certa, who was turned around after ND missed the last three and started walking towards and screaming at the ref. When the ref kept walking and Certa was blocked off, Shrews ran towards the ref himself, but McLellan first, and then Ahneman next held him back. They're big boy and he wasn't going to get through them.
