How about Gerry McNamara. Did a great job at Siena the last 2 years. Grew up here in Scranton a lifelong ND fan and has some bad taste in his mouth regarding Syracuse after the Boheim retirement and how he wasn't even considered for the job. -

No Pitino will ever coach at ND. Here's a realistic list.
No particular order, except for the first guy. The rumor was that he contacted ND before Shrews was hired, expressing his interest. I would hire him in a second. The program needs an established coach, and McDermott will also bring with him a firm, tested offensive scheme that works.
