Falls to 2nd round, and ends up in the QB graveyard?

As soon as he signs his rookie contract he'll be a millionaire.

I feel he would have been much worse off to be drafted higher and then be expected to produce immediately on a terrible team, like, say, da Bears. Maybe it was pure freaking luck, but the Browns seem to have had a masteful draft, upgraded their defense and may finally be on the road to respectibility. My guess is that Browns fans do not have huge and unrealistic expectations for their team, There will be time for Kizer to grow. Finally, I would rather roll the dice with a 2nd round pick with his physical potential than sell the farm for Jimmy Garoppolo.

It is a bad place for Kizer to have ended up

It is hard to imagine a worse place to have ended up besides maybe the Jets or possibly Washington. Even if he had been picked in the 1st round like the other three, only Watson will even smell the field in 2017 and that is a far superior situation much like Prescott in Dallas.

Kizer should not play in 2017. He isn't ready and many young qbs and destroyed playing too early on bad teams. As a young qb, he is best served by having an experienced qb to learn from and watch. At Cleveland, there isn't one. In the absence of a named starter and competing with Kessler and Hogan, the minute either on of those fail to perform, the chant will be to play Kizer even if he is not ready. He should sit all of 2017 but there will be pressure to play him in Cleveland.

Whatever you think of the Bears, Trubisky isn't going to play at all in 2017. Glennon as better than any qb that has been on Cleveland in the last 5 years. Trubisky is also 3rd on the depth chart as if Glennon goes down, Sanchez will play.

Kizer would have been best served at any team that had experienced qbs around and not have to play in 2017.

Also, don't understand the hate on him. He played hard and, at times, very well. Also seemed to handle himself pretty well too

He's going to make himself some money and with some luck have a nice NFL career.

Anyone expecting consistency out of a 21 year old with suspect QB coaching is a fool.

Thread Level: 2

He boasted about his 4-8 record resume' - obviously that caught Cleveland's attention.

I don't know who the pretenders in Orange and Brown are, but I don't consider them to be The Browns.

Yeah right. That will happen when the Cubs win the World Series.

Draft pick...He only played 2years, and had a mediocre second yr..I hope he does well, has NFL arm and size, but as ESPN just said, he's a developmental project..He either got bad advice or just made a stupid decision, career wise..

And a good decision would have been another year with Kelly?

He would have had that opportunity..Coaches get a lot of blame, but seriously, what has Kelly done so bad..Golson went to FSU, he was worse than at ND..Crist was awful..Tommy Rees got everything he could out of his talent level, he was a good college QB , not a NFL prospect..Kelly is not wrecking anyone, cream always rises to the top..

Thread Level: 2

No. His career just nose dived into the football crapper.
