He's the best coach in the game. Has been for a very long time.

Bowling Green, Utah, OSU, Florida, it doesn't matter. Saban was very ordinary at MSU.

Thread Level: 3

He had the highest win % at MSU since Daugherty back in the 50s & 60s... hardly ordinary

He also won at Toledo and LSU before his current epic run at Bama...also head to head, they are 2-2 vs each other, so I don't think Urban being the best in the game is as clear cut as you make it seem, if it's even accurate.

Dabo Swinney might also have something to say about that..

Not only will he be back, but I believe he will win another NC before he wears out his welcome

and retires again. It'll be a different condition next time, because the heart and brain have already been used.

He will win a NC at USC, then tearfully leave the sport for good...due to acute Erectile Dysfunction

History will judge him poorly after Florida and Ohio State.

Kind of reminds me of when Rocket Ismail played for Notre Dame

Florida State will probably be open soon...

of title in the NFHell. He may just come back somewhere long enough such that his cyst situation causes him to blow a gasket and croak on the field.

For sure

His illness isn't life threatening. There are procedures he can do to relieve the pain (if he really has it).

Meyer isn't a sit at home and play checkers type of guy. He's a grinder. The dude was calling recruits after the national title game at Florida instead of celebrating with his team.

He has a chance to be a top 3 coach of all time. He has a chance to be the only coach to win titles at 3 programs.

Saban is almost 70 and Meyer likely will have 10 solid years where Saban isn't in his way.

He will rest up and at some point he will miss the grind. He will be reenergized and ready to roll soon enough.

Can you blame him?

Is there confirmation of a medical issue?

He is only 54; that is young. I could see USC. He will go where he knows he can win an NC. That is a short list.

Im not so sure about that, BUT Id' take him in a heartbeat..

I think his health problems are real; a cyst in the brain is serious, not too be taken lightly..If you read Chris Carter's article today, you would know its very serious..Personally if Carter is right, I hope he never coaches again...

No offense to your heart, but NEVER would he be my coach

He is one of the top 3 coaches in college football along with Saban and Dabo. You can say what you want about him but he is a winner and has proved it at every stop he has coached.

Thread Level: 5

Of course I would take him purely as coach. His actions have made that an impossibility.
