    I hadn't heard anything about Cross wavering or decommitting or anything since he gave his verbal commitment to ND last April. So I can't figure out what the "Welcome aboard" message is about.

Not saying he is anywhere near as talented as Donald but there a definitely some similarities in their playing style and build. If he is any where near as productive as Donald was in college then we got a hell of player.
